Otophagus gel with bacteriophages for hygiene of the ears, 50 ml

Contributes to the normalization of the microflora of the skin of the auricles. Effective to prevent complications of acute respiratory infections and respiratory diseases (otitis, sinusitis, rhinitis, pharyngitis, angina, laryngitis, tonsillitis); during surgical interventions in the ENT-organ. It promotes sanitation of carriers of Staphylococcus aureus. It has high antibacterial activity and no side effects.

Composition

Active substance:

• sterile suspension of phage particles in saline solution;

Excipients:

• Purified water,

• carbopol,

• calendula extract.

How to take, the dosage

• At home, Otofag is applied directly from the bottle or with a tissue (cotton swab) to the area to be treated. Do not wash the treated area (do not wash the gel off) for 40 minutes after applying Otophagus.
• In an appointment with a specialist Otophagus treats diseased or injured ear and other ENT organs.

IMPORTANT! Otophagus is safe in contact with the mucosa and if swallowed. Do not apply Otophagus to closed inflammatory areas that have no or limited outflow of exudate from the inflammation area (e.g., stitched wounds, etc.). Introducing Otophagus into such foci can lead to a pronounced exacerbation of inflammation and/or edema and/or lymphostasis.

Interaction

Antibacterial agents: Otophagus can be used simultaneously with antibacterial agents.

Antiseptic agents: Otophagus can be used simultaneously with 0.05% and 0.2% solutions of chlorhexidine bigluconate, 2.0% hydroxymethylquinoxalindioxide;

We do not recommend simultaneous use of the following agents with Otophagus due to inactivation of bacteriophages, which are part of Otophagus

• octenidine and phenoxyethanol-based products;

• Polyacrylic acid salts-based products;

• Hydrogen peroxide solutions.

Directions for use

– Contributes to the prevention of complications of bacterial and mixed aetiology in acute respiratory infections and other respiratory diseases of the ear (external and media otitis); nose (sinusitis, rhinitis); throat (pharyngitis, adenoiditis, sore throat, laryngitis, chronic tonsillitis).

– It helps to prevent inflammatory diseases of bacterial aetiology in the presence of risk factors: diabetes, cancer (during radiation and chemotherapy), reduced immunity.

– Contributes to the sanitization of carriers of Staphylococcus aureus among medical personnel.

– Contributes to the prevention of bacterial complications during surgical interventions and other treatment manipulations in the ENT-organ sphere.

– By doctor’s prescription in other clinical situations where it is important to ensure high antibacterial protection and absence of side effects.

Special Instructions

Protect the pipette from dirt and foreign substances. Clean any gel residue from the pipette spout and the cap. Always close the pipette with the cap after use.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to components of Otophagus.
