The composition of the lung microflora is mainly shaped by the environment. If an imbalance occurs in the lungs it can lead to chronic respiratory diseases such as asthma or COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease).

Many factors can cause an imbalance of the microflora: lowered immune defense, smoking, viral infections (including COVID-19), antibiotic treatment, etc.

Orvis probiotic is the first Russian probiotic specially designed to maintain the health of the respiratory tract. It promotes suppression of growth of pathogenic microorganisms in lungs (including Staphylococcus aureus) and strengthens immunity.

1 capsule of ORVIS probiotic contains 1 billion (1 x 109COE) Lactobacillus plantarum probiotic organisms of the special strain DR7.

How Lactobacillus plantarum DR7 works

In a clinical study conducted by the American Scientific Association (ADSA), L. plantarum DR7 was shown to reduce the duration of inflammatory processes and reduce the duration and frequency of lung disease in the therapy of respiratory tract infections. The study involved 109 people aged 18 to 60 years, the duration was 12 weeks.

L.plantarum DR7 also demonstrated efficacy similar to that of antibiotics against Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus pyogenes and outperformed antibiotics against pneumococcus.
