General use

• Consult your physician at all times. Self-diagnosis based on measurements and self-treatment is dangerous.
• People with severe circulatory problems or blood diseases should consult their physician before using the device, because squeezing the arm with the cuff could cause internal bleeding.

Using the AC adapter

• Do not plug or unplug the power cord with wet hands.

Battery use

• If you get battery fluid in your eyes, flush them immediately with plenty of clean water. Contact a doctor as soon as possible.

General Use

• Do not leave the product unattended in the presence of children or unsupervised persons.
• Use only to measure your blood pressure.
• Do not disassemble the device and the cuff.
• Use only the intended cuff for the device. The use of other cuffs may lead to inaccurate measurements.
• Avoid wrapping the air tube around body parts when taking measurements at night. This may cause air tube pressure injury.
• When taking measurements at night, do not leave the cuff on your arm.
• Do not apply more than 299 mmHg to the cuff
• Do not use a cell phone or other device that emits electromagnetic waves near the device. It may cause the device to malfunction.
• Do not take measurements in a moving vehicle (car, plane).
• Information on the cuff inflation in manual mode, see chapter 3.3. Excessive pressure in the cuff can cause internal bleeding.

Use the AC adapter

• Use only the original AC adapter designed for the device. Other adapters can damage and/or malfunction.
• Plug the AC adapter into an appropriate outlet.
• Do not use the AC adapter if the device or power cord is damaged. Immediately turn off the power and unplug the power cord.

Battery use

• If battery fluid gets on your skin or clothing, immediately rinse with plenty of clean water.
• Use only four “AAA” alkaline batteries with this device. Do not use any other types of batteries.
• Make sure the polarity is correct when inserting the batteries.
• Replace old batteries immediately. Replace all four batteries at the same time.
• If you do not intend to use the product for three months or more, remove the batteries.
• Do not use new and old batteries together.

General safety precautions

• Do not subject the device and the cuff to strong shocks or vibrations, or drop them onto the floor.
• Do not measure after swimming, drinking, smoking, exercising or eating
• Do not forcefully bend the cuff and do not kink the air tube.
• Do not remove the air tube by pulling on the plastic plug where it connects to the main device, and not on the tube itself
• Do not deflate the cuff unless it is wrapped around your upper arm
• Do not wash or immerse the cuff in water.

• Please read and follow the recommendations under “Proper disposal of the product” in “Technical Specifications”

when disposing of the device and accessories or optional parts used with it.
