Nicotinic acid is a specific antipellagic agent (vitamin PP). Improves carbohydrate metabolism, has a vasodilating effect, including on brain vessels, has hypolipidemic activity.

In high doses of nicotinic acid reduces triglycerides and beta-lipoproteins in the blood, reduces the ratio of cholesterol/phospholipids in low-density lipoproteins. It has detoxifying properties.

Directions for use

Ingestion after meals.

As an antipellar agent nicotinic acid is prescribed to adults 0.1 g 2-4 times a day (the highest daily dose is 0.5 g).

In children 0.0125 to 0.05 g 2-3 times a day depending on age. The course of treatment is 15-20 days.

In adults with ischemic cerebral circulation disorders, spasms of limb vessels, gastritis with reduced acidity, facial neuritis, wounds and ulcers it is recommended to administer 0.05-0.1 g of nicotinic acid in a single dose, up to 0.5 g in a daily dose. The course of treatment is 1 month.
