Regulating calcium-phosphorus metabolism.

Natecal D3 replenishes the lack of calcium and vitamin D3 in the body, inhibits the production of parathyroid hormone, reduces resorption and increases bone density.

Indications

Osteoporosis (menopausal, senile, steroid, idiopathic, etc.) and its complications, incl. bone fractures (prevention and complex therapy); replenishment of calcium and vitamin D3 deficiency (including in older people).

Special instructions

Do not use simultaneously with vitamin-mineral complexes containing calcium and vitamin D3. Possible additional intake of vitamin D3 from other sources must be taken into account.

Composition

Active ingredients:

calcium carbonate – 1500 mg (equivalent to Ca2+ – 600 mg),

cholecalciferol – 400 IU (equivalent to dry vitamin D3 – 4 mg);

Pregnancy

Perhaps, but not more than 1500 mg of calcium and 600 IU of vitamin D3 per day.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity, hypercalcemia, hypercalciuria, urolithiasis, sarcoidosis and tumor metastases to the bone, severe renal dysfunction;
osteoporosis caused by prolonged immobilization;
overdose of vitamin D3.

Side Effects

Dyspeptic symptoms (constipation, diarrhea, flatulence, nausea, abdominal pain); increased calcium levels in the blood and urine (with long-term use).

Interaction

The effect is weakened by phenytoin and barbiturates, and enhanced by cardiac glycosides. Calcium and vitamin D3 increase the absorption of tetracyclines (a 3-hour interval between doses is required), and reduce the absorption of bisphosphonates and fluorides (a 2-hour interval between doses is required).

Corticosteroids reduce calcium absorption, furosemide and other loop diuretics increase calcium excretion by the kidneys.

Cholestyramine and laxatives based on mineral or vegetable oil reduce the absorption of vitamin D3. The acidic reaction of foods increases the absorption of calcium, while the slightly alkaline reaction reduces it.
