Naphtisin Reneval, 0.05% 20 ml drops

A vasoconstrictor agent. It stimulates alpha1- and alpha2-adrenoreceptors, has antiedematous effect. The vasoconstrictor effect is manifested by local application on the nasal mucosa. In rhinitis it facilitates nasal breathing by reducing blood flow to the venous sinuses.

Pharmacokinetics

The vasoconstrictor effect occurs within a few minutes and lasts for several hours.

Indications

In acute rhinitis, allergic rhinitis, to facilitate rhinoscopy, to stop nasal bleeding.

How to take, the dosage

Rhinitis patients are dosed into each nasal passage:
– adults – 1 – 3 drops of 0,05% – 0,1% preparation 3 – 4 times a day;
– children from 1 to 6 years old – 1 – 2 drops of 0,05% preparation 1 – 3 times a day;
– children from 6 to 18 years old – 2 drops of 0,05% preparation 1 – 3 times a day.
In case of nasal bleeding swabs moistened with 0.05% of the drug are used.
After nasal cavity cleaning it is recommended to put 3-4 drops in each nasal passage or to insert a tampon dipped in 0.05% of the preparation and leave it for 1-2 minutes.
In case of rhinitis the course of treatment shall not exceed 5-7 days in adults and not more than 3 days in children.
