Pollinosis, Sneezing, Nasal bleeding, Laryngitis, Allergies, Sinusitis, Otitis media, Nasal congestion, Runny nose, Allergic rhinitis, Guaymonitis

Acute rhinitis, hay fever, acute and chronic laryngitis, acute eustachianitis, allergic and radiation-induced laryngeal edema, mucous membrane hyperemia after operations on the upper respiratory tract, chronic conjunctivitis, asthenopic disorders; as an additional means – in conjunctivitis of bacterial origin, in treatment of urolithiasis, in combination with local anesthetic (in contraindications for adrenaline use).

Individual, depending on the indication and the dosage form used.

Interaction

Do not use simultaneously with MAO inhibitors or within 14 days after termination of their use.

Naphazolin slows the absorption of local anesthetic agents (prolongs their effect in surface anesthesia).

Special Instructions

Naphazolin may have a resorptive effect.

The vasoconstrictor effect gradually decreases with long-term use (tachyphylaxis phenomenon); therefore, it is recommended to take a break for a few days after 5-7 days of use.

Contraindications

Children under 1 year of age, arterial hypertension, hyperthyroidism, hypersensitivity to naphazolin, marked atherosclerosis, chronic rhinitis, severe eye disease, diabetes, concurrent use of MAO inhibitors and the period up to 14 days after the end of their use.

Side effects

Tissue reactions: irritation of the mucous membranes (depending on the site of application); when used for more than 1 week – edema of the mucous membranes, atrophic rhinitis.

With the cardiovascular system: reactive hyperemia, tachycardia, increased BP.

CNS side:headache.

From the digestive system:nausea.
