Miramistin, solution with urological applicator and cap 0.01% 50 ml

Miramistin^® has a broad spectrum of antimicrobial action, including antibiotic-resistant hospital strains.

The drug has a pronounced bactericidal effect against Gram-positive (Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp, Streptococcus pneumoniae, etc.), gram-negative (Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella spp. etc.), aerobic and anaerobic bacteria determined as monocultures and microbial associations, including hospital strains with multiresistance to antibiotics.

It has antifungal effect on ascomycetes of Aspergillus and Penicillium genus, yeasts (Rhodotorula rubra, Torulopsis gabrata etc.) and yeast-like fungi (Candida albicans, Candida tropicalis, Candida krusei, Pityrosporum orbiculare (Malassezia furfur) etc.), dermatophytes (Trichophyton rubrum, Trichophyton mentagrophytes, Trichophyton verrucosum, Trichophyton schoenleini, Trichophyton violacent, Epidermophyton Kaufman-Wolf, Epidermophyton floccosum, Microsporum gypseum, Microsporum canis, etc.), as well as other pathogenic fungi, in the form of monocultures and microbial associations, including fungal microflora with resistance to chemotherapeutic drugs.

It has antiviral action and is active against complex viruses (herpes viruses, human immunodeficiency virus and others).

Miramistin^® acts against sexually transmitted pathogens (Chlamydia spp., Treponema spp., Trichomonas vaginalis, Neisseria gonorrhoeae and others).

Effectively prevents infection of wounds and burns. It stimulates regeneration processes. Stimulates protective reactions at the site of application due to activation of the absorptive and digestive function of phagocytes and potentiates the activity of the monocytic-macrophage system. It has a pronounced hyperosmolar activity, as a result of which it stops wound and perifocal inflammation, absorbs purulent exudate, contributing to the formation of a dry crust. It does not damage granulation and viable skin cells and does not suppress marginal epithelization.

It does not have a local irritant and allergic properties.

How to take, the dosage

The product is ready to use.

Instructions for use with the spray nozzle package:

Remove the cap from the bottle.

Remove the included spray nozzle from the protective package.

Place the spray tip onto the bottle.

Activate the spray tip by pressing again.

Surgery, trauma, combustiology. For preventive and therapeutic purposes, irrigate the surface of wounds and burns, loosely tamponize wounds and fistulous passages, fix gauze swabs moistened with the drug. The therapeutic procedure shall be repeated 2-3 times a day for 3-5 days. The method of active drainage of wounds and cavities with daily consumption of up to 1 liter of the drug is highly effective.

Obstetrics, gynecology. In order to prevent postpartum infection it is used in the form of vaginal irrigations before delivery (5-7 days), during delivery after each vaginal examination and during the postpartum period – 50 ml of preparation in the form of tampon with 2-hour exposure, for 5 days. If women are delivered by caesarean section, the vagina is treated immediately before the operation, the uterine cavity and incision are treated during the operation, and in the postoperative period tampons moistened with the drug are inserted into the vagina with exposure for 2 hours for 7 days. The treatment of inflammatory diseases is carried out as a 2-week course by intravaginal administration of tampons with the drug, as well as by the method of drug electrophoresis.

Venerology. For the prevention of venereal diseases the drug is effective if it is used not later than 2 hours after sexual intercourse. To introduce the content of the vial with the help of urological applicator into the urethra for 2-3 minutes: for men (2-3 ml), for women (1-2 ml) and in the vagina (5-10 ml). Treat the skin on the inner surfaces of the thighs, pubis, genitals. After the procedure, it is recommended not to urinate for 2 hours.

Urology. In the complex treatment of urethritis and urethroprostatitis it is injected into the urethra 2-3 ml of the preparation 1-2 times a day for the course of 10 days.

Otorhinolaryngology. For purulent maxillary sinuses – during puncture the maxillary sinus is flushed with a sufficient amount of the drug. Tonsillitis, pharyngitis and laryngitis are treated by gargling the throat and/or irrigation with the spray nozzle 3-4 times a day. The amount of the drug per rinse is 10-15 ml.

Dental medicine. In stomatitis, gingivitis, periodontitis it is recommended to rinse the oral cavity 10-15 ml of the drug, 3-4 times a day.

In case of stomatitis, gingivitis, periodontitis it is recommended to rinse the mouth 10-15 ml of the drug 3-4 times a day.

When used in surgery, traumatology, combustiology for preventive and therapeutic purposes the surface of wounds and burns are irrigated, wounds and fistulous passages are loosely tamponized, gauze tampons moistened with the drug are fixed. The therapeutic procedure shall be repeated 2-3 times a day for 3-5 days. When used in obstetrics, gynecology to prevent postpartum infection it is used in the form of vaginal irrigations before delivery (5-7 days), in childbirth after each vaginal examination and in the postpartum period 50 ml of the drug in a tampon with exposure of 2 hours, for 5 days. For convenience of vaginal irrigation the use of a gynecological nozzle is recommended. Using the gynecological nozzle, insert the contents of the bottle into the vagina and perform irrigation.
