Low-molecular synthetic inducer of interferon that stimulates formation of all types of interferon in the body (alpha, beta, gamma and lambda).

The main producers of interferon in response to tiloron administration are intestinal epithelial cells, hepatocytes, T-lymphocytes, neutrophils and granulocytes.

After oral administration the maximum production of interferon is determined in the sequence intestine – liver – blood in 4-24 hours.

According to experimental data after single oral administration of Tiloron in dose equivalent to maximum daily dose for human the maximum concentration of interferon lambda in lung tissue is determined in 24 hours, of interferon alpha – in 48 hours.

Induction of interferon lambda in lung tissue increases antiviral protection of the respiratory tract during influenza and other respiratory viral infections.

In human leukocytes induces synthesis of interferon. Stimulates bone marrow stem cells, depending on the dose increases antibody formation, reduces the degree of immunosuppression, restores the ratio of T-suppressors and T-helpers.

Effective against various viral infections including flu viruses, other acute respiratory viral infections, hepatitis viruses and herpesviruses.

The mechanism of antiviral action is associated with inhibition of translation of virus-specific proteins in infected cells, resulting in inhibition of virus reproduction.

Indications

As part of the complex therapy in adults: treatment of influenza and other acute respiratory infections; treatment of herpetic infection. prevention of influenza and other acute respiratory infections in adults.

How to take, the dosage

The drug is taken orally, after meals. For the treatment of influenza and other acute respiratory infections – 125 mg per day for the first 2 days of treatment, then 125 mg every 48 hours.

For a course of 750 mg (6 pills). For the prevention of flu and other acute respiratory viral infections – 125 mg once a week for six weeks. For the course – 750 mg (6 tablets).

For the treatment of herpes infections – the first two days to 125 mg, then in 48 hours to 125 mg. The course dose is 1.25-2.5 g (10-20 tablets).

In the treatment of influenza and other acute respiratory infections, if the symptoms persist for more than 4 days, consult a physician.

Interaction

Compatible with antibiotics and agents of traditional treatment of viral and bacterial diseases.

Clinically significant interaction of Lavomax® with antibiotics and agents of traditional treatment of viral and bacterial diseases was not identified.

Effect on the ability to drive vehicles and operate machinery

The use of the drug does not affect the ability to drive vehicles and engage in other potentially dangerous activities that require high concentration and rapid psychomotor reactions.

Yellow to orange, round, coated tablets. The core of the tablet is orange in color.

Features

After oral administration Tiloron is quickly absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract.

Bioavailability is 60%.

About 80% of tiloron is bound to plasma proteins.

Tylorone is eliminated practically unchanged in feces (70%) and urine (9%).

Half-life period is 48 hours.

Tiloron is not biotransformed and does not accumulate in the body.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the drug.

Pregnancy and lactation period.

Childhood (under 18 years).

Sucrose/isomaltase deficiency, fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption (the drug contains sucrose).

Side effects

Allergic reactions, dyspeptic phenomena, short-term chills are possible.
