Ketoprofen, gel 2.5% 50 g

Ketoprofen has a local anti-inflammatory, anti-exudative and analgesic effect.

In the form of gel it provides local therapeutic effect on the affected joints, tendons, ligaments, muscles.

In joint syndrome it relieves joint pain at rest and on the move, reduces morning stiffness and joint swelling.

Does not have a catabolic effect on joint cartilage.

Pharmacokinetics

It is slowly absorbed when applied topically.

It practically does not accumulate in the body. The bioavailability of the gel is about 5%.

Composition

100 g of gel for external use contains:

acting substance:

ketoprofen 2.5 g,

auxiliary substances:

carbopol 940,

ethanol % (ethanol),

trolamine,

nipagin (methyl parahydroxybenzoate),

water.

How to take, the dosage

The drug is used externally.

3-5 cm of the product is used once (volume of a large cherry).

Depending on the size of the damaged area, apply the gel 2-3 times a day or as prescribed by the doctor, rubbing gently until completely absorbed.

The duration of treatment without a doctor’s consultation should not exceed 10 days.

Special Instructions

The product should be applied only to intact skin.

Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes.

In order to avoid hypersensitivity and photosensitivity, it is recommended to avoid exposing the skin to sunlight during treatment.

Overdose

The extremely low systemic absorption of the active ingredients of the drug when applied topically makes overdosing almost impossible.

Pregnancy use

Ketoprofen should not be used in the third trimester of pregnancy.

There is no experience of using ketoprofen during lactation.
