Ismigen, tablets 7 mg 30 pcs

A combined immunostimulant of bacterial origin for sublingual (sublingual) administration.

It is a polyvalent antigenic complex including lysates of bacteria, the most common pathogens of respiratory infections.

The lysates included in Ismigen are obtained by mechanical action.

Ismigen, like other second generation immunostimulants of bacterial origin, has a nonspecific immunostimulatory and specific vaccinating effect.

Ismigen tablets have an effect on various parts of the immune system.

It stimulates both local cellular and humoral immune response and systemic immune response.

It activates phagocytosis, increases the content of lysozyme in saliva, promotes increase of the number of immunocompetent cells.

Enhances functional and metabolic activity of macrophages (including alveolar) and polymorphonuclear leukocytes.

Activates the processes of peroxidation and expression of adhesion molecules on macrophage monocytic cells and granulocytes LEA-1, MAC-1, p-150, ICAT-1, which provide cooperation with T-lymphocytes and antigen-presenting cells and help to destroy infectious agents.

Stimulates secretion by macrophage monocytic cells of prostaglandin E2, activates natural killer cells; stimulates release of anti-inflammatory cytokines – interleukin IL-1, IL-2, IL-6, IL-8,

interferon gamma, tumor necrosis factor alpha; inhibits the synthesis of IL-4, IL-12; increases the concentration of secretory immunoglobulin IgA in saliva, serum IgA, IgG, IgM; reduces the concentration of serum IgE.

Ismigen treatment reduces the frequency, severity and duration of acute respiratory tract infections; there is relief and levelling of symptoms such as fever, coughing,

and a decrease in the frequency, severity and duration of acute respiratory tract infections./p>

dyspnea, the need for antibacterial and anti-inflammatory therapy is reduced; in patients with chronic respiratory tract diseases the drug also prevents exacerbations.

Indications

Acute and subacute infections of the upper and lower respiratory tract: bronchitis, tonsillitis, pharyngitis, laryngitis, rhinitis, sinusitis, otitis, including complications after influenza (treatment in combination therapy).

Recurrent infections of the upper and lower respiratory tract, chronic bronchitis (prevention of exacerbations).

Excipients:

Glycine – 43 mg (in the bacterial lysate),

Microcrystalline cellulose – 150 mg,

Calcium hydrophosphate dihydrate – 35 mg,

Silicon dioxide colloid – 10 mg,

Magnesium stearate – 3 mg,

Ammonium glycyrrhizinate – 1.2 mg,

Mint flavoring – 0.8 mg.

How to take, the dosage

Under the tongue; taken on an empty stomach. The tablet should be held under the tongue until completely dissolved. Sublingual tablets should not be crushed, chewed or swallowed.

Acute and subacute infections of the upper and lower respiratory tracts

1 tablet a day until the symptoms disappear (at least 10 days).

Recurrent infections of the upper and lower respiratory tracts, prevention of exacerbations of chronic respiratory diseases

It is 1 tablet a day for 10 days. The prophylactic course includes three cycles of 10 days with 20-day intervals between them.

The prophylactic course should not be taken more often than once or twice a year.

Interaction

Ismigen may be used simultaneously with other medicinal products for treatment of acute and chronic respiratory diseases.

The peculiarities of interaction of Ismigen with other medicinal products have not been described so far.

Special Instructions

Children aged 3 to 6 years should be under adult supervision while taking each dose, until the tablet is completely dissolved in the mouth.

Impact on the ability to drive vehicles and other mechanisms requiring high concentration

No effect.

Contraindications

Side effects

The frequency of side effects is classified according to the World Health Organization recommendations: very frequently – more than 10%; frequently – more than 1 and less than 10%; infrequently – more than 0.1 and less than 1%; rarely – more than 0.01 and less than 0.1%; very rarely – less than 0.01%.

Skin disorders: very rare – urticaria, impetiginous dermatitis, folliculitis.

Other: very rare – inflammation of the salivary gland, acute laryngitis, rhinitis.

Overdose

There are no reports of overdose.

Pregnancy use

It is contraindicated in pregnancy and lactation.

The use of the drug Ismigen is approved for children over 3 years.
