Ihtammol

Composition

100 g of ointment with the active substance concentration of 10% contains the active ingredient: ichthyol (ichthammol) – 10.0 g.

Auxiliary substances: Vaseline – 90.0 g.

The ointment with 20% concentration of the active substance contains the active ingredient: ichthyol (ichthammol) – 20.0 g.

Auxiliary substances: Vaseline – 80.0 g.

How to take, the dosage

Externally.

Adults and children from 12 years of age apply a thin layer on the affected areas of the skin 1-2 times a day. If necessary, use a dressing.

The duration of the course and the specifics of the treatment regimen (both in children and adults) should be coordinated with the doctor.

Interaction

Incompatible with solutions of salts of iodine alkaloids salts of heavy metals zinc oxide.

Dimethylsulfoxide ethanol glycerol when applied simultaneously with ichthamol increases its systemic absorption and increases its depth of penetration into the soft tissues.

Special Instructions

The ointment is for external use only; it is not recommended to apply to open wounds.

The ointment should not come into contact with the mucous membranes and eyes.

Wash hands thoroughly after applying the ointment to prevent contact of the ointment with the eyes, nose and mouth.

Impact on the ability to operate vehicles and machinery:

The drug has no effect on the ability to operate vehicles and machinery.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to ichthamol or other components of the drug.

Children under 12 years of age.

Side effects

Local allergic reactions are possible.

Overdose

Symptoms of overdose are not described.

The treatment is symptomatic.
