Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug, a derivative of phenylpropionic acid.
It has anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic effects. The drug effect is due to inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis by blocking the enzyme cyclooxygenase.
Inhibits platelet aggregation. With prolonged use it has a desensitizing effect.

Composition of 100 ml of suspension:

ibuprofen – 2 g;
auxiliary components:
sodium phosphate dihydrate – 0.46 g;
propylene glycol – 1.71 g;
propyl parahydroxybenzoate – 0.05 g;
Citric acid monohydrate – 0,91 g;
crosspovidone – 0,14 g;
sodium saccharinate – 0,25 g;
glycerol – 5,7 g;
sodium carmellose – 0,97 g;
methylparahydroxybenzoate – 0,57 g;
sodium trichloride – 6,8 g;
ammonium sulfate – 6,8 g. Methyl parahydroxybenzoate – 0,15 g;
Macrogoal glycerylhydroxystearate – 1,14 g;
sucrose – 34,2 g;
Magnesium-aluminium silicate (Veegum) – 0,57 g;
sunset yellow dye (E110) – 0,02 g;
orange flavoring – 0,34 g;
purified water – up to 100 ml.
How to take, the dosage
In rheumatoid arthritis 800 mg 3 times a day is prescribed.
In osteoarthritis and ankylosing spondylitis Ibuprofen is used in 400-600 mg 3-4 times a day.
In juvenile rheumatoid arthritis the drug is used in a dose of 30-40 mg/kg body weight per day.
In case of trauma of soft tissues, sprain of ligaments the drug is prescribed in dose of 600 mg 2-3 times a day.
In moderate-intensity pain syndrome the drug is prescribed in 400 mg 3 times a day. Maximal daily dose is 2.4 g.
Interaction
In concomitant administration Ibuprofen may decrease the diuretic effect of furosemide.
When co-administration Ibuprofen increases the effect of diphenin, coumarin anticoagulants, oral hypoglycemic agents.

Special Instructions
The drug is prescribed with caution in patients with impaired liver function, renal function, cardiovascular system diseases, with a history of peptic ulcer and/or duodenal ulcer, gastrointestinal bleeding.
Compared with other NSAIDs, Ibuprofen has the least ulcerogenic effect on the gastrointestinal mucosa.
When using the drug for a long time it is necessary to monitor the liver and/or kidney function and peripheral blood picture.
During pregnancy the drug should be used only if prescribed by the doctor.

Contraindications
- gastrointestinal erosive and ulcerative lesions in the stage. exacerbations;
- “aspirin” triad;
- blood disorders;
- ulcerative colitis;
- optic nerve disease;
- explicit renal and/or hepatic dysfunction;
- children under 6 years of age;
- high sensitivity to the drug.

Side effects
Possible: nausea, anorexia, flatulence, constipation, heartburn, diarrhea, dizziness, headache, agitation, insomnia, allergic reactions in the form of skin rash, visual disturbances.
There have been cases of gastrointestinal erosive and ulcerative lesions.
Rarely: bleeding from the gastrointestinal tract, aseptic meningitis, bronchospasm.
