Pharmic action:

Grammidin with anesthetic neo is a combination drug for the treatment of infectious and inflammatory diseases of the throat and oral cavity. The drug contains antimicrobial agent Gramicidin C, local anesthetic (analgesic) agent – oxybuprocaine and antiseptic agent – cetylpyridinium chloride.

The mechanism of action of Gramicidin C is connected with increase of permeability of cytoplasmic membrane of the microbial cell, which breaks its resistance and causes cell death.
Gramicidin C has pronounced antimicrobial action against infectious agents of oral cavity and throat.

The anesthetic oxybuprocaine has a local anesthetic effect on the mucous membrane of the mouth and throat. Causes a reversible blockade of the propagation and conduction of nerve impulses through the axons of nerve cells.

Cetylpyridinium chloride refers to antiseptic agents. It suppresses the growth and reproduction of pathogens of infectious diseases of the oral cavity. The product has analgesic effect, reduces inflammation, has antimicrobial effect, alleviates discomfort in the throat, facilitates swallowing, upon resorption causes hyper-salivation which facilitates mechanical cleansing of the oral cavity and throat from microorganisms.

Indications

Infectious and inflammatory diseases of the mouth and throat, accompanied by severe pain:

acute pharyngitis,

tonsillitis,

angina,

periodontitis,

gingivitis,

stomatitis.

Composition

One tablet contains:

Active substances.

gramicidin C dihydrochloride – 3.20 mg (in terms of gramicidin C – 3.00 mg);
oxybuprocaine hydrochloride – 0.20 mg;
cetylpyridinium chloride monohydrate – 1.05 mg (in terms of cetylpyridinium chloride – 1.00 mg);

Excipients:

colloidal silicon dioxide, talc, acesulfame potassium, mint flavor, sorbitol, magnesium stearate

Pregnancy

It is not recommended to use the drug during pregnancy (I) trimester.
Breastfeeding should be stopped while taking the drug.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, lactation period.

Use with caution during pregnancy.

Side Effects

During use of the drug, due to its anesthetic effect, temporary loss of sensitivity of the tongue is possible.

In some cases, allergic reactions to the components of the drug are possible.

Interaction

Grammidin® with neo anesthetic enhances the effects of other local and systemic antimicrobial agents.
