Grammidin Neo, tablets 18 pcs

Grammidin Neo is a combination drug for the treatment of infectious and inflammatory diseases of the throat and oral cavity. The drug contains antimicrobial agent Gramicidin C and antiseptic agent – cetylpyridinium chloride.

The mechanism of action of Gramicidin C is connected with increase of permeability of the cytoplasmic membrane of the microbial cell, which violates its resistance and causes cell death. Gramicidin C has a pronounced antimicrobial effect against pathogens of infectious diseases of the mouth and throat.

Cetylpyridinium chloride belongs to the antiseptic agents. It suppresses growth and reproduction of pathogens of infectious diseases of the oral cavity.

The drug reduces inflammation, has antimicrobial action, alleviates discomfort in the throat, facilitates swallowing, and upon resorption causes hyper-salivation which facilitates mechanical cleansing of the oral cavity and throat of microorganisms.

Indications

Infectious and inflammatory diseases of the mouth and throat: sore throat, pharyngitis, tonsillitis, periodontal disease, gingivitis, stomatitis.

Pharmacological effect

Composition

1 tablet contains:
active substances:
gramicidin C dihydrochloride – 3.20 mg (in terms of gramicidin C – 3.00 mg)
cetylpyridinium chloride monohydrate – 1.05 mg (in terms of cetylpyridinium chloride – 1.00 mg)
excipients:
colloidal silicon dioxide -5.00 mg, talc -60.00 mg, acesulfame potassium -15.00 mg, mint flavor -25.00 mg, sorbitol -1065.75 mg, magnesium stearate -25.00 mg.

Pregnancy

It is not recommended to use the drug during pregnancy (I) trimester.

Breastfeeding should be stopped while taking the drug.

Contraindications

— hypersensitivity to the components included in the drug;
—children up to 4 years of age;
—pregnancy (1st trimester).

Side Effects

In some cases, allergic reactions to the components of the drug are possible.

Interaction

Grammidin neo enhances the effects of other antimicrobial agents of local and systemic action.
