Hedelix is a remedy of plant origin. It has anti-inflammatory, wound healing, antioxidant effect.

Saponins exhibit antibacterial and antifungal activity.

The triterpenoids alpha-hederin, hederosaponins have antispasmodic, mucolytic and expectorant action.

Flavonoids (rutin, kaempferol derivatives) improve microcirculation, show hepato- and nephroprotective properties, increase urine output, and promotes the removal of uric acid salts.

Indications

For infectious and inflammatory diseases of the upper respiratory tract and bronchi, accompanied by a cough with difficult to separate sputum.

Pharmacological effect

The use of the drug does not affect the ability to drive vehicles or engage in other potentially hazardous activities that require increased concentration and speed of psychomotor reactions.

ivy leaf extract (2.2–2.9:1) – 4 g;

Excipients:

propylene glycol – 83.69 g;

glycerol – 20 g;

flavoring (100 g of flavoring for cough drops contains star anise oil – 47.95 g; eucalyptus oil – 24.65 g; levomenthol – 27.4 g) – 0.13 g;

peppermint oil – 0.03 g.

Contraindications

Predisposition to laryngospasm.
Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, incl. to mint oil.
Arginine succinate synthetase deficiency.
Bronchial asthma.
Children under 2 years of age.

Side Effects

Possible: allergic reactions, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea.

In rare cases: pain in the epigastric region.

Interaction

The drug should not be used simultaneously with antitussive drugs, because this makes it difficult to clear liquefied sputum.

Overdose

Symptoms: possible nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, gastroenteritis.
