Skin fungus, Skin itchingTreatment and prevention of fungal skin infections, including:
- foot mycoses (“fungus” of the foot);
- inguinal epidermophytia (tinea cruris);
- fungal lesions of smooth body skin (tinea corporis) caused by dermatophytes such as:
Trichophyton (including T. Rubrum, T. mentagrophytes, T. verrucosum, T. violaceum);
Microsporum canis;
Epidermophyton floccosum.
Multicolor Lichen (Pityriasis versicolor) caused by Pityrosporum orbiculare (also known as Malassezia furfur).

Composition
1 g of the gel contains:
How to take, the dosage
Externally.
Adults and children over 18 years. Terbinafin gel is used once a day for all indications.
Duration of therapy and number of times the preparation is used:
– Dermatomycosis of trunk, legs: 1 week once a day;
– Dermatomycosis of feet: 1 week once a day;
– Lichen macrogloss: 1 week once a day.
Dosing regimen in the elderly does not require changes.
Special Instructions
Exifin® is intended for external use only.
Avoid getting the drug in the eyes, as it may cause irritation.
In case of accidental contact of the drug in the eyes it should be immediately rinsed with running water, and in case of persistent irritation you should consult a doctor.
The drug contains butylhydroxytoluene, which may cause local allergic reactions (contact dermatitis) in the application areas, as well as eye and mucosa irritation.
Care should be taken when using Exifin®, as the alcohol included in the gel can cause skin irritation.
Read the instructions carefully before you start using the drug.
Keep the instructions, you may need them again.
If you have any questions, ask your doctor.
The medicine you are taking is for your own personal use and should not be given to others as it could cause them harm even if you have the same symptoms as you do.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to terbinafine or any of the drug’s excipients,
breastfeeding, children (under 18 years).
Caution should be exercised when applying the drug to damaged skin, because the alcohol
contained in the drug can cause irritation.
Side effects
Classification of the frequency of adverse reactions:
very common (˂1/10 appointments), common (1/10 – 1/100 appointments);
infrequent (1/100 – 1/1000 appointments); rare (1/1000 – 1/10 000 appointments),
very rare (˂ 1/10 000), frequency unknown (frequency cannot be estimated from available data).
Immune system disorders
Pregnancy use
No terbinafine teratogenic properties have been found in animal studies.
To date, no malformations have been reported with terbinafine.
However, since clinical experience with terbinafine gel in pregnant women is very limited,
its use is possible if the expected benefits to the mother exceed the potential risk to the fetus.
Terbinafine is excreted with breast milk, so the drug should not be prescribed to nursing mothers.
Infant should avoid contact with the surface of the skin treated with the drug, including the surface of the skin of the mammary gland.
