Enterosgel, sweet paste for oral administration 225 g

Enterosgel® has a porous structure of an organosilicon matrix (molecular sponge) of hydrophobic nature, which is characterized by sorption action only with respect to medium molecular weight toxic metabolites (m.w. from 70 to 1000). Enterosgel® has pronounced sorption and detoxification properties. The drug binds and removes from the body endogenous and exogenous toxic substances of various nature, including bacteria and bacterial toxins, antigens, food allergens, drugs and poisons, salts of heavy metals, radionuclides and alcohol. The preparation also sorbs some metabolic products of the body, including excess bilirubin, urea, cholesterol and lipid complexes, as well as metabolites responsible for the development of endogenous toxicosis. Enterosgel® does not reduce absorption of vitamins and microelements; it promotes restoration of the violated intestinal microflora and does not affect its motor function.

Pharmacokinetics

The drug is not absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract and is eliminated unchanged within 12 hours.

Nausea, Hepatitis, Diathesis, Dermatitis, Intestinal infections, Obesity, Vomiting, Urticaria, Kidney Disease, Colic, Dysbacteriosis, Hangover, Pregnancy Toxicosis, Diarrhea, Salmonellosis, Poisoning, Psoriasis, Common Acne (vulgaris)

In adults and children as a detoxifying agent:

Acute and chronic intoxication of various origins;

Acute poisoning with potent and poisonous substances, including drugs and alcohol, alkaloids, salts of heavy metals;

Acute intestinal infections of any genesis in complex therapy (toxic infections, salmonellosis, dysentery, diarrheal syndrome of non-infectious origin, dysbacteriosis);

Pyo-eptic diseases accompanied by severe intoxication, in complex therapy;

Food and drug allergies;

Hyperbilirubinemia (viral hepatitis) and hyperazotemia (chronic renal failure);

For the prevention of chronic intoxication in workers of harmful industries (occupational intoxication by chemical agents of polytropic action, xenobiotics, incorporated radionuclides, compounds of lead, mercury, arsenic, oil products, organic solvents, nitrogen oxides, carbon, fluorides, salts of heavy metals).

How to take, the dosage

Enterosgel® paste is taken orally 1-2 hours before or after meals or intake of other medicines with water.

The necessary amount of the drug for intake is recommended to stir in a glass in triple volume of water at room temperature or take orally with water.

The dosage for adults is 15 g (1 table spoon) or 1 sachet 3 times a day.
The daily dose is 45 g (3 sachets).
Children aged 5-14 years old – 10 g (1 dessert spoon) 3 times a day.
The daily dose is 30 g (2 packets).
Children of 1 to 5 years old take 5 g (1 teaspoon) 3 times a day.
The daily dose is 15 g (1 package).
To prevent chronic intoxications take 15 g (1 package) 2 times a day during 7-10 days monthly.
In case of heavy intoxications during the first three days the drug dosage may be doubled.

Duration of treatment in acute intoxications – 3-5 days, in chronic intoxications and allergic conditions – 2-3 weeks. Repeated course by doctor’s recommendation.

Interaction

It is possible to reduce absorption of other drugs when taking Enterosgel at the same time.

Special Instructions

The drug can be used in combination therapy with other medicines, subject to the rule of separate time of 1-2 hours before or after taking other drugs.

Contraindications

Children under 1 year of age, individual intolerance to the drug, intestinal atony, intolerance to sulfonamide drugs.

Side effects

Nausea, constipation, skin itching, urticaria are possible. In severe renal and/or hepatic failure aversion to the drug may occur.

Overdose

Cases of overdose of Enterosgel have not been identified.

Pregnancy use

It is contraindicated in pregnancy and during breastfeeding.
