Entherosgel is an enterosorbent, enveloping, anti-diarrheal, detoxifying preparation based on organic silicon, designed for the removal of toxic substances from the body and the gastrointestinal tract.

Entherosgel has a structure of silicon-organic matrix (molecular sponge) of hydrophobic nature which is characterized by adsorptive action only against medium molecular weight toxic metabolites (molecular weight from 70 to 1000).

Entherosgel selectively adsorbs from the intestinal content and blood (permeably from the capillaries of the intestinal mucosa villi) medium molecular weight endogenous and exogenous toxic substances of different nature: bacterial toxins, products of incomplete metabolism, allergens, antigens, viruses, drugs and poisons, incorporated radionuclides. Adsorbs some products of metabolism, including excess bilirubin, urea, creatinine, cholesterol and lipid complexes, metabolites responsible for the development of endogenous toxicity. It does not adsorb trace elements.

Entherosgel stops symptoms of toxemia and disbacteriosis, improves the function of the intestines, liver and kidneys, normalizes the functions of the hematopoietic and immune systems.

Does not affect saprophytic microflora, promotes parietal digestion and stimulates intestinal peristalsis. As a result of selective adhesion Enterosgel destroys pathogenic microorganisms and removes their particles containing endo- and exotoxins.

Entherosgel has anti-inflammatory and regenerating effect on the mucous membrane of the stomach and intestines and prevents the occurrence of erosive lesions.

Indications

In adults and children as a detoxifying agent:

– acute and chronic intoxications of various origins;

– acute poisoning with potent and toxic substances, including drugs and alcohol, alkaloids, salts of heavy metals:

– acute intestinal infections of any origin as part of complex therapy (toxic infections, salmonellosis, dysentery, diarrheal syndrome of non-infectious origin, dysbacteriosis);

– purulent-septic diseases accompanied by severe intoxication, as part of complex therapy;

– food and drug allergies;

– hyperbilirubiemia (viral hepatitis) and hyperazotemia (chronic renal failure);

The drug can be used in complex therapy with other medications, subject to the rule of separate administration times, 1-2 hours before or after taking other medications.

Contraindications

Morphophysiological disorders in the gastrointestinal tract (acute gastric dilatation syndrome, dynamic intestinal obstruction, intestinal atony, etc.)

Side Effects

In case of severe renal or liver failure – an aversion to the drug after two or three doses. Increased nausea, flatulence (requires discontinuation of the drug).

Interaction

It can be used in complex therapy with other drugs, subject to an interval between doses, including with bacterial drugs (bifidobacteria, lactobacilli, bifidobacteria and lactobacilli), herbal remedies, adaptogens, immunomodulators, etc.
