Protector of the corneal epithelium.

It has a moisturizing and protective effect on the cornea with reduced tear fluid secretion. Due to its high viscosity it increases the duration of contact of the solution with the cornea. The index of refraction of the solution is similar to natural tears.

The tear film restores, stabilizes and reproduces the optical characteristics of the tear film.

The subjective and objective improvement of the condition (reduction of hyperemia, epithelization of lesions) usually comes within 3-5 days, the expressed improvement or complete cure – within 2-3 weeks.

Indications

Erosion and trophic changes of the cornea.
Microtrauma of the corneal epithelium.
Bullous dystrophic changes in the cornea.
Keratopathy.
Ectropion.
Deformation of the eyelids.
Lagophthalmos.
Condition after:
Plastic surgery on the eyelids.
Thermal burns of the cornea and conjunctiva.
Keratoplasty.
Keratectomy.
Replacement therapy for decreased tear secretion:
Dry eye syndrome (Sjögren’s syndrome).
Xerosis.
Keratosis (combination therapy).
Hypersensitivity.
Acute phase of a chemical burn (until the chemical substance and necrotic tissue are completely removed).

Special instructions

It is not recommended to wear soft contact lenses while using the drug. When wearing rigid (solid) contact lenses, before instilling the drug, they should be removed and reinserted no earlier than 20-30 minutes after using the drug.

Long-term use of the drug Defislez is not recommended.

Impact on the ability to drive vehicles and operate machinery

Immediately after instillation, blurred visual perception is possible, which can lead to difficulties in driving vehicles or when working with machinery. Therefore, you should begin work that requires clear vision no earlier than 15 minutes after instillation.

Contraindications

hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.

It is not recommended to use the drug in the acute phase of a burn (until the toxic substance is completely removed).
