Protector of the corneal epithelium.

It has a moisturizing and protective effect on the cornea with reduced tear fluid secretion. Due to its high viscosity it increases the duration of contact of the solution with the cornea. The index of refraction of the solution is similar to natural tears.

The tear film restores, stabilizes and reproduces the optical characteristics of the tear film.

The subjective and objective improvement of the condition (reduction of hyperemia, epithelization of lesions) usually comes within 3-5 days, the expressed improvement or complete cure – within 2-3 weeks.

• Eroses and trophic changes of the cornea.

Hypromellose, Dextran

Composition

1 ml – hypromellose (hydroxypropyl methylcellulose) 3 mg.

Auxiliary substances:

How to take, the dosage

The drug should be instilled into the conjunctival sac 1 to 2 drops 4 to 8 times a day.

If necessary, 1-2 drops can be injected every hour.

The course of treatment is 2-3 weeks.

Special Instructions

Wearing of soft contact lenses during the drug application is not recommended. If rigid (hard) contact lenses are worn before the drug is applied, they should be removed and inserted again no earlier than 20-30 minutes after application of the drug.

Long-term use of Defaclose is not recommended.

Impact on driving and operating machinery

Immediately after instillation, blurred vision may occur, which may lead to difficulty in driving or operating machinery. Therefore, you should start working in jobs requiring clear vision no sooner than 15 minutes after instillation.

Contraindications

• high sensitivity to the ingredients of the drug.

The use of the drug is not recommended in the acute phase of the burn (until the complete removal of the toxic substance).
