Cyanocobalamin has hematopoietic and stimulates cellular metabolism.
Indications
Chronic anemia occurring with cyanocobalamin deficiency (Addison-Birmer disease, alimentary macrocytic anemia), as well as in the complex treatment of iron deficiency, posthemorrhagic and aplastic anemia, anemia caused by toxic substances and/or drugs.
Diseases of the nervous system: polyneuritis, radiculitis, causalgia and neuralgia (including trigeminal neuritis), amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, peripheral nerve injuries, funicular myelosis, cerebral palsy, Down’s disease.
Skin diseases (psoriasis, photodermatosis, dermatitis herpetiformis, atopic dermatitis).
Cronic hepatitis, cirrhosis of the liver, liver failure.
Acute radiation sickness.
With a prophylactic purpose – when prescribing biguanides, para-aminosalicylic acid, ascorbic acid in high doses, gastric and intestinal pathologies with impaired absorption of cyanocobalamin (resection of part of the stomach, small intestine, Crohn’s disease, celiac disease, malabsorption syndrome, sprue).
How to take, the dosage
Cyanocobalamin is administered subcutaneously, intramuscularly, intravenously, and in funicular myelosis, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis – intralumbly.
Adults.
Subcutaneously in Addison-Birmer anemia – 100-200 mcg/d every other day; in funicular myelosis, macrocytic anemia with nervous system disorders – 400-500 mcg/d in the first week – daily, then with intervals between injections up to 5-7 days (folic acid is prescribed simultaneously); During remission, the maintenance dose is 100 mcg/day 2 times a month, and in the presence of neurological phenomena – 200-400 mcg 2-4 times a month.
In acute post-hemorrhagic and iron deficiency anemia – 30-100 microgram 2-3 times a week, in aplastic anemia – 100 micrograms until the occurrence of clinical and hematological improvement.

Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the drug components, thromboembolism, erythraemia, erythrocytosis, pregnancy (there are separate indications of a possible teratogenic effect of B vitamins in high doses), lactation, children under 3 years for this dosage form. Leber’s disease, nicotine amblyopia (increases the risk of neurodegenerative damage of the optic nerve).
Stress Angina FK III, benign and malignant neoplasms (except in cases accompanied by megaloblastic anemia and vitamin B12 deficiency), susceptibility to blood clots.
