Pharmic action:

A mast cell membrane stabilizer. It blocks the entrance of ions into the mast cell, preventing its degranulation and the release of allergy and inflammation mediators (histamine, bradykinin, prostaglandins, leukotrienes and other biologically active substances).
Prevent manifestation of allergic reactions of immediate type.
Pharmacokinetics:
Absorption through the ocular mucosa is negligible. Systemic bioavailability is less than 0.03%. T1/2 is 5-10 minutes.

Other constituents:
benzalkonium chloride,
EDTA,
sodium chloride,

How to take, the dosage
In the absence of other prescriptions for adults and children it is recommended to put in 4 times a day 1 drop in each eye.
CromoGEXAL should be injected into the conjunctival sac. The head is tilted back slightly, the lower eyelid is pulled upwards and drops are applied without touching the eye. After use the bottle is immediately closed.
Even if the complaints disappear, CromoGEXAL should be used as long as there is contact with allergizing factors (house dust, fungal spores, pollen). The need for long-term therapy is determined by the doctor.
Interaction
To date, no interactions with other drugs have been identified.
Special Instructions
If contact lenses are used, allergic inflammation of the conjunctiva may occur, in which case a physician should be consulted about the possibility of wearing contact lenses.
If contact lenses can be worn, remove the lenses before injecting and put them back on after 15 minutes.
Contraindications
hypersensitivity to cromoglycic acid and other constituents of the drug CromoGexal.
Side effects
Rarely, there may be a sensation of heat in the eyes, conjunctival swelling (chemosis), sensation of a foreign body, increased blood supply to the conjunctiva (conjunctival hyperemia), and transient visual clarity problems.
