Interaction

The convulsive effect of cordiamine is enhanced by reserpine, the excitatory effect regarding the respiratory center is eliminated by anesthetics, the drug effect is weakened by saluside and PASC , aminazine and analeptic effect and other phenothiazine derivatives lead to weakening of the convulsive effect.

Special Instructions

Possible seizures in an overdose of nikethamide.

Contraindications

Epilepsy, hypersensitivity, hyperthermia in children, history of tonic-clonic seizures.

Overdose

Symptoms of overdose: increased severity of dose-dependent side effects, generalized tonic-clonic convulsions.

Management measures in case of overdose: treatment with symptomatic (including anticonvulsants).
