Cordiamine, drops 25% 30 ml

An analeptic. Stimulates CNS, excites respiratory and vasomotor centers (especially in reduced tone of the vasomotor center).

Indications

Cardiac dysfunction, shock, asphyxiation; poisoning with narcotics, sleeping pills, analgesics.

How to take, the dosage

Orally, regardless of meals for adults – 15-40 drops per reception 2-3 times a day, for children – as many drops per reception as the child’s age.

Interaction

The convulsive effect of cordiamine is increased by reserpine, the excitatory effect in relation to the respiratory center is eliminated by anesthetics, the effect of the drug is weakened by PASC and saluside, and aminazine and other phenothiazine derivatives lead to weakening of the analeptic effect and the convulsive effect.

Contraindications

Individual hypersensitivity to the ingredients of the drug, predisposition to seizures of various origins, epilepsy.

Side effects

Possible: restlessness, muscle twitching starting from the circular muscles of the mouth, reddening of the face, itching of the skin, vomiting, heart rhythm disturbances.
