Pharmacodinamics

A pain-relieving and warming ointment, contains substances with vasodilating and irritating effect on sensitive nerve endings, as a result of which it has a local irritating, hyperemic and pain-relieving effect. Local skin irritation causes changes in blood supply and selective reduction of trophicity of internal organs innervated by the same spinal cord segments. Additional irritation in the corresponding segment of the spinal cord causes additional activation of the antinociceptive system, which prevents the conduction of pain impulses to the cerebral cortex and improves pain tolerance.

The temperature of the skin increases by 1 – 2 ° C for 2 – 3 hours. The analgesic effect occurs after 30 to 40 minutes and lasts up to 3 to 6 hours. If used repeatedly the ointment remains effective for 10-14 days.

Pharmacokinetics

The ointment is quickly absorbed into the surrounding tissues. Absorption into the systemic bloodstream is insignificant.

Osteochondrosis, Gout, Bruises, Lumbago, Arthritis, Arthrosis, Sciatica, Myositis, Osteoarthritis, Inflamed tendons, Bursitis, Hematoma, Periarthritis, Warming up muscles before sports, Neuritis, Swelling after injuries and operations, Radiculitis – Muscle and joint pain
– As a warming ointment for athletes.

Active ingredient

Camphor, Dimethylsulfoxide, Benzylnicotinate, Pine needle oil

Composition

1 g of the ointment contains:

active ingredients: dimethyl sulfoxide – 50 mg, racemic camphor – 30 mg, turpentine oil – 30 mg, benzyl nicotinate – 20 mg, nonivamide – 2 mg;

excipients: cetostearyl alcohol emulsifying (type A) – 97 mg, sodium cetyl stearyl sulfate – 38 mg, polysorbate-80 – 20 mg, bronopol – 1 mg, purified water – up to 1 g.

How to take, the dosage

Outwardly.

In case of muscle and joint pains, 1 to 3 g of the ointment is applied with an applicator to the painful area and lightly rubbed into the skin 2 to 3 times a day.

When used as a warming agent in athletes, apply to the area to be massaged with an applicator. A small amount of ointment (about 2 to 3 g) should be rubbed in with massaging movements until the skin turns red. After exercising rinse the ointment off the skin with cool water.

The length of the course of treatment depends on the nature and severity of the disease, but the ointment should not be used for more than 10 days without medical advice.

If you forget to use the product, use as soon as possible and continue as usual. Do not use a double dose if you missed the previous dose.

If you feel the medicine is too strong or too weak, tell your doctor or pharmacist.

Special Instructions

Precautions for use: Avoid getting the ointment on open wounds, mucous membranes and eyes. To avoid side effects, it is recommended to first apply a small amount of the ointment to the skin to determine sensitivity to the drug. After each treatment, you should wash your hands with cool water and soap!

There have been no interactions with other medications.

Impact on ability to drive vehicles, machinery: The drug does not affect the ability to drive vehicles and operate technical devices.

Contraindications

Individual hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, ulcers and skin diseases, pregnancy and lactation, childhood.

Side effects

In case of hypersensitivity of the skin to the ointment components, itching, swelling or urticaria may occur. It is necessary to stop using the ointment and see a doctor.

The symptoms listed above disappear 8 to 12 hours after stopping the use of the ointment.

Overdose

If too much ointment is applied to the skin, it may cause redness of the skin, mild passing itching, or a burning sensation.

If you accidentally swallow the ointment, see your doctor. Take a packet of the product with you to your doctor.

Pregnancy use

In the absence of data on the safety of the ointment during pregnancy and lactation, use of the ointment during this period is not recommended.
