The drug Brilliant Green solution in alcohol has a disinfectant effect.

The activity of the drug is significantly reduced if the wound or abrasion is bleeding.

Pharmacokinetics

The drug does not penetrate through intact skin. When applied to damaged skin, it is absorbed in micro quantities.

Indications

Fresh postoperative and posttraumatic scars, abrasions; pyoderma, blepharitis. It is also used to treat the edges of healthy skin around the affected areas.

1 ml of alcohol solution for external use contains:

brilliant green (bis-(para-diethylamino)-triphenyl-anhydrocarbinol oxalate) 10 mg

How to take, the dosage

Brilliant green solution of alcohol is applied directly to the damaged surface.

Interaction

Brilliant green solution is incompatible with disinfectants containing active iodine, chlorine, alkalis, including ammonia solution.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity.

Side effects

Allergic reactions are possible when using the drug.

In case of contact of the antiseptic with the mucous membrane of the eye a burning sensation and lacrimation are noted.
