Pharmacological properties

Anti-hemorrhoids combined agent. The drug Anuzol has antispasmodic, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, analgesic, local anti-inflammatory, astringent and drying action.

Composition

Composition per 1 suppository

Active substances:

Lrasavka dense extract – 20 mg (with the content of the sum of alkaloids in terms of hyoscyamine 1.5% – 0.3 mg),

bismuth tribromophenolate and bismuth oxide complex (xeroform) – 100 mg,

Zinc sulfate heptahydrate – 50 mg;

Auxiliary substances: glycerol, purified water, distilled monoglycerides, solid fat (Vitepsol (grades H 15, W 35), Supposir (grades NA 15, NAS 50)) – to obtain a suppository with a mass of 2250 mg.

How to take, the dosage

Rectally. 1 suppository 1-3 times a day after purgative enema or spontaneous bowel emptying.

The maximum daily dose of the drug is 7 suppositories. The duration of treatment is 10-14 days.

Interaction

In concomitant use with tricyclic antidepressants there may be increased m-cholinoblocking effects of the drug (dry mouth, accommodation disorders, tachycardia, constipation, etc.).

When used with the drugs that increase the heart rate (including procainamide) – pronounced tachycardia is possible.

Monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) increase the risk of side effects and enhance positive chrono- and batmotropic effects; when used together with cardiac glycosides – increase positive batmotropic effects.

The simultaneous use of ethanol (alcohol) with crassava (belladonna) preparations may increase the inhibitory effect on the central nervous system (CNS).

Special Instructions

Possible penetration of urticaria alkaloids through the blood-brain barrier and possible interaction with drugs affecting CNS should be taken into consideration. In therapeutic doses the urticaria alkaloids have a moderate stimulating effect on the CNS, in high doses – excitatory effect, in toxic doses – agitation, hallucinations, followed by inhibition and coma. Simultaneous administration of suppositories with extract of Krasavka and other drugs with anticholinergic activity should be avoided because the probability of side effects increases.

Lrasavka extract decreases the rate of absorption of co-administered drugs and other products due to inhibition of gastrointestinal motor function.

We should be careful during treatment to drive vehicles and perform other potentially dangerous activities requiring increased concentration, rapid psychomotor reaction and good vision.

Contraindications

Autonomic neuropathy, hyperthyroidism, coronary heart disease, chronic heart failure, mitral stenosis, kidney disease, hernia of the esophageal hiatus, reflux esophagitis, increased body temperature (possibility of fever and heat stroke due to suppression of sweat gland activity).

Side effects

Overdose

Symptoms: nausea, vomiting, psychomotor agitation, seizures, urinary retention, decreased sweating, hyperthermia.

In case of overdose, the drug should be stopped immediately and a doctor should be consulted.

Treatment: symptomatic.
