Pharmaceutical action:
The Anti-Angin formula is a drug with antimicrobial and local anesthetic action for local use in ENT practice and dentistry. Antibacterial activity: the antiseptic chlorhexidine contained in the product destroys pathogens of infectious diseases of the mouth and throat ( Streptococcus spp., Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus pneumoniae, Corynebacterium spp., Haemophilus Influenzae, Klebsiella spp.).
Antifungal activity: Chlorhexidine is active in candidomycosis.
Local anesthetic activity: due to the local anesthetic tetracaine.
Vitamin C increases resistance to infectious diseases.
Indications
Prevention, etiotropic and symptomatic treatment of infectious and inflammatory diseases of the mouth and throat caused by microorganisms sensitive to chlorhexidine (pharyngitis, tonsillitis, the initial stage of angina, periodontitis, stomatitis, gingivitis, condition after tonsillectomy or tooth extraction and others).); complex therapy of angina (apply at the first signs of the disease – with a sore throat and fever).

1 lozenge:
– chlorhexidine diacetate 2 mg
– tetracaine hydrochloride 200 mcg
– ascorbic acid 50 mg

How to take, the dosage
Adults and children from 15 years of age: 6 lozenges a day at 2-hour intervals.
Children 5 to 10 years: 3 lozenges a day at 4-hour intervals.
Children 10 to 15 years of age: 4 lozenges per day at 3-hour intervals.
Interaction
Tetracaine reduces the antibacterial activity of sulfonamide drugs. Vasoconstrictors prolong the effect and reduce the toxicity of tetracaine.
Ascorbic acid increases blood concentrations of benzylpenicillin and tetracyclines, increases the risk of crystalluria when treated with salicylates and short-acting sulfonamides, and reduces the blood concentration of oral contraceptives.
Special Instructions
It is not recommended to use simultaneously with the oral and pharyngeal preparations containing iodine (Lugol solution, povidone-iodine).
Ascorbic acid contained in the drug may change the results of some laboratory tests, which should be reported when testing.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, mucosal damage or inflammation, in highly vascularized areas, phenylketonuria, childhood age (under 10 years).
With caution: in pregnancy and lactation, diabetes, glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency, hemochromatosis, sideroblast anemia, thalassemia, hyperoxaluria, oxalose and urolithiasis.
Side effects
Allergic reactions.
Overdose
Symptoms: dizziness, general weakness, cyanosis, agitation, restlessness, muscle tremor, respiratory disorders, nausea, vomiting.
Treatment: gastric lavage, prescription of saline laxatives; symptomatic therapy.
