Algin-quinine is a combined drug, refers to analgesic non-narcotic drugs.
Quinine is an alkaloid of cinquefoil bark, has antipyretic effect, reduces excitability of the heart muscle, increases myometrium contractility, causes contraction of the spleen capsule, has a slight depressant effect on the CNS.
Methamisole sodium is a derivative of pyrazolone and has analgesic, antipyretic and mild anti-inflammatory action, whose mechanism is associated with inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis.
Indications
Pain syndrome of various etiologies, including:
headache,
neuralgia,
arthralgia,
myalgia,
myositis,
algodismenorrhea,
postoperative pain,
renal and biliary colic (in combination with antispasmodics).
Feverish conditions in infectious and inflammatory diseases.

Metamizole sodium is a pyrazolone derivative and has analgesic, antipyretic and minor anti-inflammatory effects, the mechanism of which is associated with inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis.
Special instructions
Analgin-quinine should be prescribed with caution to patients with impaired liver and kidney function, visual and hearing impairment, angina pectoris and heart failure.
With long-term (more than a week) use of the drug, monitoring of the peripheral blood picture and the functional state of the liver is necessary. It is advisable to monitor the ECG.
Impact on the ability to drive vehicles and operate machinery
While taking the drug, you should not perform work that requires increased attention and speed of psychomotor reactions.

Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug Analgin-quinine.
Side Effects
skin rash and itching
pain and heaviness in the abdomen.
Interaction
Quinine may potentiate the action of drugs that block neuromuscular transmission.
Tricyclic antidepressants, oral contraceptives, allopurinol disrupt the metabolism of metamizole sodium in the liver and increase its toxicity.
Chloramphenicol enhances the myelotoxic effect of metamizole sodium.
Concomitant use of the drug Analgin-Quinine with other analgesics and antipyretics may lead to increased toxic effects.
With simultaneous use of quinine with aminoglycoside antibiotics, a mutual increase in ototoxic effect may occur.
Barbiturates, phenylbutazone and other inducers of microsomal liver enzymes weaken the effect of metamizole sodium.
Sedatives and tranquilizers enhance the analgesic effect of metamizole sodium.
The simultaneous use of metamizole sodium with cyclosporine reduces the level of the latter in the blood.
Overdose
Symptoms: nausea, vomiting (including bloody), melena, epigastric pain, agranulocytosis, aplastic anemia, hemorrhagic diathesis, dizziness, tinnitus, clonic and tonic convulsions, cardiotoxic effect, skin rash (bullous, petechial, measles or typhoid), possible anaphylactic shock, coma.
Treatment: gastric lavage, prescription of laxatives and gastroprotective drugs, forced diuresis, restoration of breathing, anti-shock measures, restoration of blood volume; if necessary, symptomatic therapy; if seizures develop, IV barbiturates and diazepam. There is no specific antidote.
