How to take, the dosage

Ingestion, after meals, with fluids. Adults: 30 mg (1 tablet) 3 times a day; if necessary, the dose can be increased to 60 mg (2 tablets) 2 times a day.

Interaction

Compatible with drugs that inhibit labor activity.

Combined use with anti-cough medications leads to difficulty in expectoration of sputum on the background of reduced coughing.

It increases penetration of amoxicillin, cefuroxime, erythromycin and doxycycline into the bronchial secretion.

Special Instructions

Patients with diabetes can be prescribed as a syrup (5 ml of syrup contains sorbitol and saccharin in an amount corresponding to 0.18 CFU).

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to bromhexin, pregnancy – I trimester.

Side effects

Allergic reactions: skin rash, urticaria, angioneurotic edema, in some cases – allergic contact dermatitis. Extremely rare cases of acute severe reactions of anaphylactic type (anaphylactic shock) have been reported.

In long-term use in high doses – heartburn, gastralgia, nausea, vomiting.

Overdose

Symptoms: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, dyspepsia, gastralgia are possible.

Treatment: induction of vomiting, gastric lavage during the first 1-2 hours after taking the drug; intake of fat-containing products, symptomatic therapy.
