Interaction

When used with anti-cough drugs, sputum discharge may be difficult as a result of suppression of the cough reflex.

Directions for use

Mucolytic effect of the drug is manifested by taking plenty of fluids. Therefore, during the treatment it is recommended to drink plenty of fluids.

Special Instructions

Beraxol-SOLOfarm should not be taken simultaneously with anticough drugs that may inhibit the cough reflex.

Beraxol-SOLOfarm should be used with caution in patients with impaired cough reflex or impaired mucociliary transport because of the possibility of sputum accumulation.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to ambroxol or other components of the drug, pregnancy (I trimester), breastfeeding.

Side effects

Gastrointestinal tract disorders: frequently – nausea, decreased sensitivity in the mouth and throat; infrequently – dyspepsia, upper abdominal pain, vomiting, diarrhea; rarely – heartburn, dry mucosa of the mouth and throat, constipation.

Overdose

Symptoms: heartburn, dyspepsia, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, upper abdominal pain. There are reports of the occurrence of transient anxiety.
