Aktoflor®-C is a new generation metabiotic, which is a complex of amino acids and organic acids – analogues of metabolites of probiotic bacteria. Synergistic effect of the components of the complex increases physiological activity and stimulates the growth of human own beneficial microflora, increases its antagonistic activity against pathogens.

Human gut microflora performs many functions, the most important of which is metabolic. Bacteria produce metabolites that act as signaling molecules, directly affecting metabolism, gut, liver and brain functions as well as fat and muscle tissue processes.

Aktoflor®-C is recommended as a metabiotic to restore the intestinal microflora and normalize its metabolic activity, as well as an additional source of amino acids, including essential ones, and organic acids with a proven regulatory effect.

Amber acid, L-glutamic acid and essential amino acids L-lysine and L-methionine are the most active growth stimulators of probiotic strain E. coli M-17, recommended by the Russian Ministry of Health for use in immunobiological preparations – coli probiotics. L-methionine, according to current data, is the most effective natural antioxidant. Aktoflor®-C components, especially succinic acid, have a positive effect on the proliferative activity of immune tissue cells stimulating human immunity.

Sodium acetate is a growth stimulator of bifidobacteria and other representatives of normal microflora, together with lactic and formic acids increases antagonistic activity of intestinal microflora, prevents excessive growth of opportunistic bacteria and inhibits growth of pathogenic strains of coliforms as well as Salmonella enterica causing salmonellosis. In intestinal epithelial cells, adipocytes, immune and other cells acetate interacts with protein receptors specific for it (GPR40, GPR41, GPR43), which is accompanied by induction of expression of genes responsible for production of several hormones responsible for synthesis of energy sources, appetite and satiety regulation, intestinal motility and other functions.

Sodium acetate increases blood circulation in the intestinal mucosa, is an energy substrate for muscle tissue, heart, kidney and brain tissue. Sodium acetate and lactic acid regulate the pH level, motor and secretory activity of the intestine, have an antimicrobial effect. Along with formic and succinic acids, sodium acetate is the main intermediate of microbial metabolism, participating in the synthesis of other metabolites important for the human body – butyric and propionic acids.

L-glutamic acid is involved in protein and carbohydrate metabolism, prevents the reduction of redox potential, increases resistance to hypoxia, normalizes metabolism, changing the functional state of the nervous and endocrine systems, is a powerful neurotransmitter.

Its decarboxylation by intestinal bacteria produces γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA), another major mediator of the central nervous system, which activates energy processes in the brain, improves blood supply, increases respiratory activity of tissues, improves glucose utilization.

The combined effect of eight amino acids (L-alanine, L-aspartic acid, glycine, L-glutamic acid, L-valine, L-leucine, L-lysine and L-methionine), four of which are essential amino acids, significantly increases the activity and efficiency of Aktoflor®-C regulatory metabolites.

All ingredients of Aktoflor®-C have strong synergistic effect and lack of at least one of them considerably decreases its efficiency.

Aktoflor®-C is hypoallergenic, has no immunotoxic properties, causes no side effects during long-term use, is compatible with any types of treatment and may be used both during and after antibiotic therapy.

The 2 tube-drops contain not less than 56 mg of succinic acid, which corresponds to 28% of the recommended daily intake according to the requirements of TR TS 022/2011.

How to take, the dosage

Adults – 1 tube orally 2 times a day with meals, diluted in a glass of water (250 ml).

Course duration is from 2 weeks to 1 month. If necessary, the course may be repeated.
