Pharmgroup:
Glucocorticosteroid+antibiotic-aminoglycoside+antifungal agent.
Pharmic action:
Acriderm GC is a combination drug, has anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic, antibacterial and antifungal (fungicidal) action.
Betamethasone dipropionate – a glucocorticosteroid, has anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic, anti-exudative, anti-edema and antipruritic effect. It inhibits leukocyte accumulation, release of lysosomal enzymes and proinflammatory mediators in the inflammation focus, inhibits phagocytosis, decreases vascular and tissue permeability and prevents inflammatory edema formation.
Clotrimazole has antifungal action by disrupting the synthesis of ergosterol, which is a part of the cell membrane of fungi. It is active against: Trichophyton rubrum, Trichophyton mentagrophytes, Epidermophyton floccosum, Microsporum canis, Candida albicans, Malassezia furtur (Pityrosporum orbiculare).
Gentamicin is a broad-spectrum antibiotic from the group of aminoglycosides.
It has bactericidal action against pathogens of primary and secondary bacterial skin infections. It is active against Gram-negative bacteria: Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Aerobacter aerugenes, Escherichia coli, Proteus vulgaris, Klebsiella pneumoniae; Gram-positive bacteria: Streptococcus spp. (sensitive strains of beta- and alpha-hemolytic Streptococcus group A), Staphylococcus spp. (coagulase-positive, coagulase-negative and some strains producing penicillinase).
Indications
Treatment of dermatoses complicated by primary and/or secondary infection, pityriasis, limited and diffuse neurodermatitis, dermatomycosis (including groin, foot) caused by pathogens sensitive to the drug.

Long-term use or use of occlusive dressings causes skin maceration, secondary infection, skin atrophy, sweating, and purpura.
When applied to large body surfaces, mainly in children, systemic side effects of glucocorticosteroids (hyperglycemia, glucosuria, reversible inhibition of adrenal function, manifestation of Cushing’s syndrome) and gentamicin (nephrotoxic and ototoxic effects) may occur. If any adverse reactions not described in the instructions, seek medical attention.
Overdose
Acute overdose is unlikely; however, chronic overdose accompanied by signs of hypercorticism is possible with excessive or prolonged use of the drug: hyperglycemia, glucosuria, reversible suppression of adrenal cortex function, manifestation of Cushing’s syndrome.
Treatment.
The appropriate symptomatic treatment is indicated. In case of chronic toxic effects, gradual withdrawal of the drug is recommended.
Pregnancy use
The safety of topical use of glucocorticosteroids in pregnant women has not been established; prescription of drugs of this group during pregnancy is justified only if the potential benefit exceeds the possible risk.
