Adrianol, drops 10 ml

Adrianol is an anticongestive vasoconstrictor agent (alpha-adrenomimetic).

Phenylephrine and trimazoline are vasoconstrictors that have an anti-inflammatory effect on the nasal mucosa when used topically.

The reduction of mucosal edema leads to normalization of nasal breathing and reduction of pressure in the sinuses and middle ear. The viscous consistency of the solution increases the duration of action of the drug.

Indications

Used as an adjunctive anti-inflammatory agent during diagnostic procedures and surgical manipulations; acute and chronic rhinitis, sinusitis.

Composition

1 ml contains:

Active ingredients:

Phenylephrine hydrochloride 1 mg;

tramazoline hydrochloride 1.5 mg;

Excipients:

Methylcellulose M.N.V. 10000,

Phenylmercury (II) borate,

Ethanol 96%,

Glycerol,

Aqueous ammonia,

citric acid monohydrate,

sodium hydrophosphate dihydrate,

purified water.

How to take, the dosage

Adults and children from 7 years: 1-3 drops in each nostril 4 times a day.

The duration of the drug is not more than one week, then a break of a few days is necessary.

Interaction

In combination with antidepressants and monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs), the risk of arterial hypertension is increased.

Special Instructions

Should not be used concomitantly with MAO inhibitors and within 10 days after the end of their use.

The vasoconstrictor effect decreases gradually with long-term use (phenomenon of tachyphylaxis), so should not be used for a long time, e.g., in chronic rhinitis.

Overdose

Symptoms: fatigue, dizziness, nausea, insomnia, increased BP, tachycardia, fever, shock, reflex bradycardia.

Pregnancy use

There is insufficient clinical data on the safety and efficacy of the drug in pregnancy and lactation.
