The drug has a wide spectrum of nematodocidal and cestodocidal action against gastrointestinal nematodes Alaeuris numidica, Alaeuris iguanae, Angusticaecum holopterum, Macracis prolixa, Tachygonetria conica, Tachygonetria dentata, Tachygonetria macrolaimus, Tachygonetria robusta, Tachygonetria dentata, Ozolaimus megatyphon, Oxyuris cirratus, Pseudalaeuris spp. and cestodes Oochoristica spp,

The mechanism of action of albendazole included in the drug is disruption of carbohydrate metabolism and microtubular function of helminthes, which leads to their death and excretion from the animal.

The mechanism of action of praziquantel is based on disruption of glucose transport and microtubule function in cestodes, inhibition of fumaratreductase activity and ATP synthesis, increase in cell membrane permeability and disruption of muscle innervation that leads to death of parasites.

Prevention and treatment of dryness, cracks, abrasions, erosions and other udder skin diseases.

Albendazole, praziquantel

Composition

Reptilife suspension as the active substances in 1 ml contains albendazole – 25 mg and praziquantel – 10 mg, as well as excipients.

How to take, the dosage

The drug is used individually, orally by means of syringe-doser, at the rate of 1 ml of suspension per 1 kg of reptile weight, two or three times at 14-day intervals. For therapeutic purposes, deworming of reptiles shall be carried out as indicated, for prophylactic purposes – quarterly in therapeutic dose. Special diet and use of laxatives before deworming is not required.

Contraindications

Increased individual sensitivity to active components of the drug. The drug should not be used in reptiles during oviposition or pregnancy (live-bearing reptiles), as well as simultaneously with other anthelmintic drugs.

Side effects

Side effects and complications are not observed when using the drug according to the instructions. In case of overdose, increased salivation and increased frequency of defecation may be observed in the animal.
