🐾 Maxidin solution 0.4%, 5 ml, vials 5 pcs.

Immunomodulatory drug, interferon inducer.  Maxidin 0.4 has pronounced immunomodulatory and interferon-inducing activity, stimulates humoral and cellular immunity. It is an interferon inducer, blocks translation of viral proteins. It stimulates natural resistance and increases activity of effector cells of immune system (macrophages, T- and B-lymphocytes).  Maxidin 0.4 is classified as low-hazard substance (4-th class of hazard according to GOST 12.1.007-76 national standard), which does not have local irritating, allergizing, embryotoxic, teratogenic and carcinogenic effect in recommended doses.

Indications

– in complex therapy of infectious (viral enteritis, panleukopenia, plague, infectious rhinotracheitis, kalitsiviroz), invasive (demodekoz, helminth infections) diseases, atopic dermatitis and alopecia in dogs and cats.

Composition

1 ml of bis(pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylate) germanium 4 mg Excipients: sodium chloride, monoethanolamine, water d/I.

How to take, the dosage

Maxidin 0.4 is injected into animals subcutaneously or intramuscularly observing the rules of asepsis and antiseptics 2 times a day for 2 to 5 days at a dose of 0.5 ml of the drug per 5 kg of animal weight. Maxidin 0.4 can be used simultaneously with other drugs and feed additives.

Special Instructions

In case of allergic reactions the drug shall be discontinued and antihistamines shall be prescribed.  The use of Maxidin 0.4 does not exclude the use of other drugs, feed additives and feeds.  Maxidin 0.4 can be used in pregnant and lactating animals as well as in puppies and kittens from the age of 2 months on vital indications under control of the attending veterinarian.  Maxidin 0.4 is not intended for use in productive animals.  Personal precautions When using the drug it is necessary to observe the rules of personal hygiene and safety precautions intended for work with medicines. During work with the drug it is forbidden to drink, smoke and eat. After finishing work you should wash your hands with soap and water.  People hypersensitive to the drug components should avoid direct contact with Maxidin 0.4. In case of accidental contact of the drug with skin or mucous membranes of the eyes, they should be washed out with plenty of running water. In case of allergic reactions and/or in case of accidental ingestion of the drug you should immediately contact a medical facility (bring the instructions for use of the drug or the label).  Empty vials from under the drug must not be used for domestic purposes, they must be disposed of with household waste.

Side effects

With proper use and dosage side effects are usually not observed.
