E-selenium makes up for the lack of vitamin E and selenium in animals.

Vitamin E regulates redox processes and affects carbohydrate and fat metabolism, enhances the action of vitamins A and D3, affects the immune system, the overall resistance of the body. The biological role of selenium is associated with its antioxidant properties.

It promotes the removal of toxic substances from the body, enhancing immunity of animals. Introduction of the drug in the body leads to a rapid increase in vitamin E and selenium levels in animals, normalization of metabolic processes.

Indications

For normalization of the emotional and psychological state of animals:

– phobic neurosis, fear of noises and explosions (fireworks, thunderstorms, shots, etc.
– during transportation
– during separation from the owner (fear of loneliness, destructive behavior)
– during the regrouping of animals
– for correction of other forms of behavior caused by fear or stress, with anxiety disorders

To improve the development of new forms of behavior in training.

For premedication – Fospasim reduces the likelihood of unwanted side effects during surgery.

Composition

E-selen (E-selen) is a drug in the form of a solution for injection and oral administration, intended for the prevention and treatment of diseases caused by lack of vitamin E and selenium.

E-selenium contains the active ingredients: sodium selenite and tocopherol acetate (vitamin E) and auxiliary components: polyoxyethylene glycol-660-hydroxystearate (solutol HS 15), benzyl alcohol and distilled water. 1 ml of the drug contains 0.5 mg of sodium selenite and 50 mg of vitamin E.

How to take, the dosage

The drug is administered to animals intramuscularly or subcutaneously (horses only intramuscularly) with prophylactic purpose once every 2-4 months, with therapeutic purpose once every 7-10 days 2-3 times at a dose: adults: 1 ml/50 kg body weight; young farm animals 0.2 ml/10 kg body weight; dogs, cats, fur-bearing animals: 0.04 ml/1 kg body weight.

For convenience in administering small amounts of the drug, it can be diluted with sterile water or saline and mixed thoroughly.

In poultry the preparation is administered with potable water at dilution 1:100 in dose 1ml/kg of body weight or 2 ml/liter of water consumption: with preventive purpose to chickens starting from one day old once in 2-3 weeks, to young birds and adults – once a month; with treatment – 2-3 times with intervals of 1-2 weeks.

Therapeutic dose can be increased 1.5 times, and in regions deficient in selenium content – up to 5 times.

Contraindications

Contraindication for use is an individual hypersensitivity of animals to selenium, or excessive levels of selenium in the body and feed (alkaline disease).
