Zinc ointment 10% 25 g

Zinc ointment is an anti-inflammatory ointment for external use, has antiseptic, astringent and drying effect.

When used in children, it helps prevent diaper rash, protects against urine and other irritants and softens irritated skin.

Limits exudation and drenching which reduces local inflammation and irritation.

The symptomatic and protective effect of the drug is determined by zinc oxide. Zinc oxide combined with a petroleum jelly base creates a physical barrier forming a protective coating on the skin which reduces the effect of irritants on the affected area and prevents the development of rash.

Indications

Treatment and prevention of “diaper rash”.

The product is also used as a first aid remedy for minor skin injuries (minor burns, cuts, scrapes, diaper rash).

Photocontact dermatitis.

How to take, the dosage

For external use only.

“Diaper rash” in infants.

Treatment: Wash and dry the affected area before use. At the first signs of redness, diaper rash or slight skin irritation, apply the ointment 3 or more times a day, as needed, usually with any diaper (diaper) change.

Preventive: apply to the diaper or diaper-covered skin before signs of irritation, especially at bedtime when the baby may be in the wet diaper for a long time.

Cuts, scrapes and burns

Perform a thin layer, if necessary apply a gauze bandage.

Apply only on superficial and non-infected lesions.

Photocontact dermatitis

The ointment is applied in a thin layer to the affected areas of the skin 1-3 times a day.

Special Instructions

The ointment should not come into contact with the eyes.

The ointment should not be applied if there is an infection on the damaged skin.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the drug.

Side effects

A hypersensitivity reactions to the drug are possible: itching, hyperemia, allergic reactions in the areas where the ointment is applied.
