Vidysik Eye Gel is a combined ophthalmic drug used to moisturize the eyes. Upon contact with the surface of the cornea high-molecular hydrophilic carbomer, which is similar in its properties to the eye fluid, forms a delicate transparent film that moistens and lubricates the surface of the eye.
The gel spreads evenly over the surface of the cornea and gradually washes away with blinking. The product protects the surface of the cornea, prevents damage to the epithelium and also stimulates healing in case of superficial damage.
Pharmacokinetics
It does not penetrate into the eye and does not accumulate in tissues.
Indications
Symptomatic treatment of keratoconjunctivitis sicca (dry eye syndrome).
Pharmacological effect
A product for moisturizing and protecting the cornea. Forms a reservoir of fluid on the surface of the eye; moisturizes the conjunctiva and cornea, preventing the formation of epithelial damage or stimulating their healing. Replaces the aqueous phase of tear fluid and imitates the mucin layer

Contraindications
Individual hypersensitivity to any of the components of the drug.
Side Effects
Transient blurred vision. In some cases, a reaction of intolerance to the components of the drug is possible. The preservative cetrimide, which is part of the drug, with prolonged or too frequent use can cause local eye irritation, allergic reactions (burning, redness, sensation of a “foreign body” in the eye) and damage to the corneal epithelium. Therefore, during long-term treatment, the use of ophthalmic drugs containing preservatives should be avoided.
Interaction
There are no data on interactions with other drugs.
In cases where additional local therapy is carried out, the interval between the administration of Vidisic and other ophthalmic drugs should be: eye drops – at least 5 minutes, eye ointments – at least 15 minutes.
Due to its physical properties, Vidisic can prolong the residence time of other ophthalmic drugs in the eye and, thereby, enhance their effect. Therefore Vidisik should be used last.
Overdose
There are no data on drug overdose.
