Vicks Aktiv Balm with menthol and eucalyptus, ointment 50 g

A combined preparation, the action of which is caused by the components in its composition.

It has a local irritating, anti-inflammatory and antiseptic effect.

The reduction of nasal congestion with a single application of the drug is observed for up to 8 hours.

Composition

Vix Aktiv Balm menthol-eucalyptus.

The ointment for external use is white to off-white in color with a distinctive smell.

100 glevomenthol2.75 g

camphor5 g

Eucalyptus oil1.5 g

Terpentine oil5 g

Excipients:

Thymol – 0.25 g,

Cedar oil – 0.45 g,

White soft paraffin – up to 100 g.

50 g – polypropylene jars (1) – carton packs.

How to take, the dosage

The drug is intended for external use (rubbing) in adults and children over 2 years.

The ointment should be rubbed gently 2-4 times a day into the skin of the chest in case of runny nose and stuffy nose; into the skin of the neck in case of cough and sore throat; into the skin of the back in case of cough. The average duration of treatment is up to 5 days.

Special Instructions

Do not swallow.

Do not apply the drug to the skin of the nose and/or face.

Avoid contact of the drug with the eyes, mucous membranes of the nose and mouth. In case of accidental contact of the ointment with the eyes and mucous membranes it is recommended to rinse liberally with water.

Never heat the drug and do not use it in a heated state.

After rubbing, clothing covering the area where the product is applied should not be too tight.

If you do not feel better within 5 days, or if it gets worse, you should see a doctor.

Influence on the ability to drive and operate machinery

The use of the drug does not adversely affect: the ability to perform potentially hazardous activities requiring increased concentration and quick psychomotor reactions. (including driving a car and other vehicles, operation of moving mechanisms).

Contraindications

Side effects

Allergic reactions, laryngospasm, bronchospasm, skin irritation in the area of application of the drug, lacrimation.

Overdose

Symptoms: skin irritation at application sites, bronchospasm, laryngospasm.

Treatment: excessive amount of ointment can be removed with gauze or paper tissue dampened with vegetable oil. If broncho or laryngospasm is present, seek medical attention immediately.

Pregnancy use

Vix Aktiv Balm is not recommended for children under 2 years of age, pregnant and lactating women.
