Venolife, gel 100 g

Venolife is a combination product for external use.

Dexpanthenol – provitamin B5 – in the skin is converted into pantothenic acid which is a part of coenzyme A, which plays an important role in the processes of acetylation and oxidation. By improving metabolic processes dexpanthenol promotes regeneration of damaged tissues and improves absorption of heparin.

Heparin is a direct-acting anticoagulant, a natural anticoagulant factor in the body. It has anti-inflammatory effect, promotes regeneration of connective tissue due to inhibition of hyaluronidase activity, prevents thrombosis, activates the fibrinolytic properties of blood and improves local blood flow.

Troxerutin – angioprotective agent. It has P-vitamin activity, in particular it reduces vascular and tissue permeability and capillary fragility, promotes normalization of microcirculation and tissue trophism, reduces congestion in the veins and paravenous tissues, has anti-edema and anti-inflammatory action.

Indications

– Soft tissue injuries (hematomas, dislocations, sprains);

– edema-pain syndrome and microcirculatory-trophic disorders caused by venous insufficiency of the lower extremities (varicose veins, acute and chronic thrombophlebitis, post-thrombophlebitis syndrome, chronic lymphostasis);

– to accelerate granulation and epithelization of trophic ulcers in the regeneration phase (in the absence of pronounced exudation).

In addition, due to the presence of the antiseptic preservative phenylethyl alcohol, the drug has a bactericidal and fungicidal effect, helping to prevent infection of the wound surface. The composition of the gel base provides the drug with moderate hyperosmolar properties.

Venolife is not intended for use in ophthalmology, for intravaginal and rectal administration.

Composition

Active ingredients:

troxerutin 2g;

dexpanthenol 5 g;

heparin sodium 0.25 g (30,000 units).

Excipients:

phenylethyl alcohol,

propylene glycol,

carbomer 940 or 980,

trometamol,

purified water.

Pregnancy

Venolife® is not contraindicated during pregnancy and lactation.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity, open infected wounds or wounds with heavy exudation.

Side Effects

Local manifestations of allergic reactions (skin rash, itching) are possible.

Storage conditions

At a temperature of 15–25 °C.
