Venolek is an angioprotective agent.

The active ingredient of the drug – diosmin belongs to the group of natural biologically active compounds. The drug also contains flavonoids – hesperidin.

The drug has angioprotective and venotonic effect.

Decreases thinness of veins, increases their tone and reduces venous stasis, decreases capillary permeability and fragility and increases their resistance, improves microcirculation and lymphatic flow.

When used systematically it reduces clinical manifestations of chronic venous insufficiency of the lower limbs.

Indications

Symptomatic therapy of venous insufficiency of the lower extremities: a feeling of heaviness and pain in the legs.

Symptomatic therapy of acute hemorrhoids.

1 tablet contains diosmin 500 mg;

Hyprolose (hydroxypropylcellulose),

hypromellose (hydroxypropyl methylcellulose),

How to take, the dosage

Venolek is taken orally with meals. With venous insufficiency – 2 tablets a day (at noon and in the evening).

In acute hemorrhoids – 6 tablets a day (3 tablets 2 times) for the first 4 days, then 4 tablets a day (2 tablets 2 times) for 3 days.

Special Instructions

In acute hemorrhoids, prescribing this medication is not a substitute for specific treatment of other hemorrhoid symptoms.

The duration of treatment should be short.

If the short therapy does not have a positive effect, a proctologic examination should be performed and the therapy used should be reconsidered.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity, period of lactation.

Children under 18 years of age.

Side effects

Diarrhea, dyspepsia, nausea, vomiting; dizziness, headache, malaise; allergic reactions (skin rash, itching, urticaria).

Pregnancy use

In pregnancy the use of the drug Venolek is possible.

Experimental and clinical studies have shown no embryotoxic, mutagenic and teratogenic effects.

There have been no reports of any undesirable effects when using the drug in pregnant women so far, but it is necessary to evaluate the risk and benefit when prescribing the drug in pregnant women.

In lactation, administration of the drug is not recommended due to lack of data on penetration of the drug into breast milk.
