Venolek is an angioprotective agent.

The active ingredient of the drug – diosmin belongs to the group of natural biologically active compounds. The drug also contains flavonoids – hesperidin.

The drug has angioprotective and venotonic effect.

Decreases thinness of veins, increases their tone and reduces venous stasis, decreases capillary permeability and fragility and increases their resistance, improves microcirculation and lymphatic flow.

When used systematically it reduces clinical manifestations of chronic venous insufficiency of the lower limbs.

Indications

As part of complex therapy:
– to eliminate symptoms of venous insufficiency of the lower extremities, such as a feeling of heaviness and pain in the legs;
– to eliminate the symptoms of acute hemorrhoids.

PHARMACODYNAMICS
The drug has a phlebotonic effect (reduces the distensibility of veins, increases the tone of veins (dose-dependent effect), reduces venous stagnation), improves lymphatic drainage (increases the tone and frequency of contraction of lymphatic capillaries, increases their functional density, reduces lymphatic pressure), improves microcirculation (increases the resistance of capillaries (dose-dependent effect), reduces their permeability), reduces adhesion of leukocytes to the venous wall and their migration into paravenous tissues, improves oxygen diffusion and perfusion in the skin tissue, and has an anti-inflammatory effect. Strengthens the vasoconstrictor effect of adrenaline, norepinephrine, blocks the production of free radicals, the synthesis of prostaglandins and thromboxane.

Special instructions

Treatment of an acute attack of hemorrhoids is carried out in combination with other drugs; in the absence of a rapid clinical effect, it is necessary to conduct an additional examination and adjust the therapy.

INFLUENCE ON THE ABILITY TO DRIVE VEHICLES

Pregnancy

During pregnancy, the use of the drug is possible. Experimental and clinical studies have not shown embryotoxic, mutagenic or teratogenic effects. To date, there have been no reports of any undesirable effects when using the drug in pregnant women, however, it is necessary to evaluate the risks and benefits when prescribing the drug to pregnant women. During lactation, taking the drug is not recommended due to the lack of data on the penetration of the drug into breast milk.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity, pregnancy (first trimester) (experience of use is limited), lactation period, children under 18 years of age.
