Pharmacodynamics:
The drug has anti-inflammatory and anti-aggregation action stimulates the muscles of the bladder.

Active substances of prostate extract belong to the group of peptide bioregulators – cytomedines. These medicinal substances are peptides with a molecular weight of 1 to 10 kDa. Low-molecular peptides of para- or autocrine nature act as trans-specific intra- and intercellular messengers.

Prostate peptides reduce blood clotting time and increase antiaggregative activity of the vascular wall improve blood microcirculation increase blood fibrinolytic activity increase contractile activity of detrusor myocytes in vivo in vitro. They have immunomodulating and immunostimulating effects, increase synthesis of antihistamine and antiserotonin antibodies.

The basis of the peptide bioregulators application in chronic prostatitis treatment is the ability to restore microcirculation and give indirect anti-inflammatory effect due to increase of antihistamine and antiserotonin antibodies synthesis as well as their immunomodulatory and immunostimulating effect.

Treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia is based on the most important biological effect of cytomedines: organotropic effect that regulates processes of cell differentiation and function in the organ from which the preparation was isolated.

Pharmacokinetics:
As a peptide preparation it is cleaved with cellular proteases to amino acids. It has no cumulative effect.
