Urolesan is an antispasmodic agent of plant origin.
The drug has antispasmodic, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic action, increases bile formation and biliary excretion, increases diuresis, acidifies urine, increases the excretion of urea and chlorides.
Urolesan is a complex of biologically active components; therefore it is not possible to conduct pharmacokinetic studies.
Indications
In the complex therapy of acute and chronic infections of the urinary tract and kidneys (cystitis, pyelonephritis);
Urolithiasis, cholelithiasis, chronic cholecystitis, biliary dyskinesia by hyperkinetic type.
Composition
1 ml of drops for oral administration contains:

Fir oil 67.60 mg;
Pearmint leaf oil 16.90 mg;
p> common castor oil seed oil 92.95 mg;
wild carrot seed extract liquid (1:1) 194.35 mg;
Hopsopsicle oil liquid extract (1:1) 278.80 mg;
Oregano grass liquid extract (1:1) 192,95 mg;
helpful substance:
dinatrium edetate 0,04 mg
How to take, the dosage
Urolesan is used orally, before meals, 1 capsule 3 times a day.
In case of renal and hepatic cramps, the single dose may be increased once to 2 capsules, then at subsequent doses return to the usual single dose (1 capsule).
The capsules should be taken without chewing and with a small amount of water.
The drops are taken orally 8-10 drops on a piece of sugar 3 times a day before meals.
In case of renal and hepatic colic, the single dose can be increased to 15-20 drops.
In acute conditions (including renal and hepatic colic) the duration of therapy is from 5 to 7 days, in chronic conditions – up to 1 month.
Lengthening the duration and carrying out a repeated course of treatment is possible only on the doctor’s recommendation.
Contraindications
– Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.
– Lactose intolerance, lactase deficiency or glucose-galactase malabsorption.
– Hyperacid gastritis, peptic ulcer.
– Diameter of kidney stones greater than 3 mm.
– Age under 18 years.
Side effects
Digestive system disorders: dyspeptic phenomena (heartburn, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea).
Allergic reactions: itching, reddening of the face, skin rash, angioedema (feeling of a stuffy throat, difficulty in breathing, swelling of the face, tongue).
Central and peripheral nervous system disorders: dizziness, general weakness.
Cardiovascular system: increase/decrease of blood pressure.
