Active ingredient
Composition
1 g. ointment for external use contains:
acting substance:
urea (urea) (in recalculation of 100%) – 0.3 g.
auxiliary substances:
emulsion wax – 0.06 g,
liquid paraffin (Vaseline oil) – 0.06 g,
glycerol (glycerin) (in recalculation of 100%) – 0.1 g,
Glycine (aminoacetic acid) – 0,002 g,
Ethanol (ethyl alcohol) – 95% – 0,1 g,
Purified water up to 1 g.
How to take, the dosage
Outwardly. In skin diseases accompanied by excessive keratinization (ichthyosis, ichthyosiform dermatosis, keratoderma, psoriasis, chronic eczema, Devergie’s disease, follicular keratosis, omozolellosis, dry skin, apply the ointment to areas of horny deposits in thin layers 2 times a day. For severe peeling it is possible to use an occlusive dressing. Surface wounds, erosions, cracks, crusts, abrasions are treated with antiseptics before applying the ointment. Treatment is stopped after the removal of the stratum corneum.
In case of hyperkeratotic forms of fungal diseases the ointment is applied 20-30 minutes before antifungal external agents.
For warts the ointment is applied for 2-8 hours under the adhesive plaster, then the softened part of the wart is cut off, after which it can be removed.
In order to facilitate nail trimming and treatment of ingrown nails, onychomycosis, onychogryphosis, onychodystrophy, hard nails, Uroderm ointment is applied to the nails for 20-30 minutes and then it is trimmed. If nails are thickened significantly, the ointment is applied twice a day and covered with a band-aid and treated after the nails have softened.
The duration of treatment for skin diseases depends on the localization and severity of the process and may be several weeks. To facilitate nail trimming and treatment, the ointment can be used 2-3 times a month, the duration of its use in such cases is not limited.
Interaction
The ability of urea to loosen the stratum corneum of the skin creates conditions for increasing the resorption of other external agents, which enhances their action.
The ointment can be alternated (morning and evening) with any other external remedy except keratolytic ones (salicylic ointment).
Special Instructions
Do not apply to the mucous membranes.
The drug does not affect the ability to drive and perform work requiring increased concentration.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the components of Uroderm.
Do not apply to large surfaces in cases of renal, hepatic and cardiovascular insufficiency.
Side effects
When used in the acute period of skin disease in some cases there may be increased itching and redness of the skin at the sites of application of the drug, which requires its temporary withdrawal until the acuteness of the process is reduced.
Possible allergic reactions.
Pregnancy use
Caution is recommended and use after consulting a doctor. It is not recommended to apply to large surfaces.
