Uro-Vaxom, capsules 6 mg 30 pcs

Uro-Vaxom has the following effects: stimulates T-lymphocytes: induces formation of endogenous interferon; increases the content of immunoglobulin A (IgA), including in urine.

Uro-Vaxom reduces the frequency of recurrent urinary tract infections, especially cystitis.

Indications

Combined treatment and prevention of recurrence of chronic urinary tract infections, especially cystitis, regardless of the nature of the microorganism, in combination with antibiotics or antiseptics in adults and children from 4 years of age.

Composition

How to take, the dosage

Treatment: 1 capsule daily in the morning on an empty stomach as an adjunctive medication in case of conventional antimicrobial therapy until symptoms disappear, but not less than 10 days. Maximum duration of treatment is 3 months.

Prevention of recurrence of chronic urinary tract infection: 1 capsule daily in the morning on an empty stomach for 3 months.

If the child has difficulty in swallowing the capsule, it should be opened and the contents mixed with a drink (fruit juice, milk, etc.).
The duration of treatment or the prescription of repeated therapy should be determined by the doctor, based on the state of health of the patient.

Interaction

Interaction with other medicinal products has not yet been established.

As a precautionary measure, the drug should not be used two weeks before and two weeks after oral administration of live vaccines.

Immunosuppressive drugs may affect the effect of the drug.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the components of Uro-Vaxom.

Side effects

Significant gastrointestinal disorders (diarrhea, nausea, vomiting), skin reactions (itching, exanthema, erythema) and limited allergic skin reactions may occur in individuals. Rarely – a slight fever.

In case of more severe complications, treatment should be discontinued and the doctor should be consulted.

Overdose

There are no reports of overdose.

The nature of the drug Uro-Vaxom and the results of its toxicity study indicate that overdose is unlikely.

Pregnancy use

Clinical studies have not been conducted on pregnant women.

Animal studies showed no negative effects on pregnancy, embryo, fetal and/or postnatal development.

There have been no specific studies on breastfeeding and no data are available to date.
