Flu and cold prevention

Preventing the flu. Vaccination is recommended for the following groups:

• children from 6 years old;
• working adults, in particular employees of medical and educational institutions, public transport, utilities;
• Students of educational institutions;
• Persons frequently ill with acute respiratory diseases;
• Persons suffering from chronic somatic diseases;
• Adults over 60 years old.

Composition

How to take, the dosage

Intramuscularly, into the deltoid muscle.

The vaccine is administered once in a dose of 0.5 ml.

In case of non-serious acute respiratory infections, acute intestinal diseases the vaccination is carried out after the normalization of temperature. Vaccinations are carried out after recovery (remission).

On the day of vaccination the vaccinated person must be examined by a health care professional with mandatory thermometry. If the temperature is higher than 37 °C, the vaccination is not administered.

The drug is not suitable for use in ampoules or syringes with compromised integrity or labeling, if the physical properties have changed (color, transparency), if the expiration date has expired, violations of the requirements for storage conditions.

Interaction

The vaccine can be used simultaneously with other inactivated vaccines.

The contraindications to each of the vaccines used must be taken into account, and the products must be administered in different areas of the body with different syringes.

Patients on immunosuppressive therapy may be less likely to be vaccinated.

Special Instructions

Do not administer intravenously.

In the rooms where the vaccination is carried out, it is necessary to have medicines for anti-shock measures and to stop the anaphylactic reaction.

The immunized person must be under the supervision of a medical professional for half an hour after immunization.

There is no information about the effect on the ability to drive vehicles and operate machinery.

Contraindications

• allergic reactions to chicken protein and vaccine components;
• allergic reactions to previous influenza vaccines;
• acute febrile states or exacerbation of chronic disease;
• breastfeeding period.

Side effects

Injection of the vaccine may be accompanied by local and general reactions.

Very rarely, there may be reactions at the injection site in the form of soreness, redness and swelling of the skin.

In extremely rare individuals, there may be general reactions in the form of increased fatigue, headache, dizziness, subfebrile fever, runny nose, pharyngitis, cough, arthralgia, myalgia, nausea. These reactions usually disappear on their own after 1-3 days.

In exceptionally rare cases of high individual sensitivity, allergic reactions may be observed.
