Troxerutin gel 2% 40 g

Pharmgroup:

An angioprotective agent.

Pharm Action:

Flavonoid (rutin derivative), has P-vitamin activity; has venotinizing, angioprotective, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effect.

Participates in redox processes, blocks hyaluronidase, stabilizes hyaluronic acid in cell membranes and reduces the permeability and fragility of capillaries, increases their tone. It increases the density of the vascular wall, reduces the exudation of the liquid part of the plasma and diapedesis of blood cells.

It reduces inflammation in the vascular wall by limiting platelet adhesion to its surface. For patients with chronic venous insufficiency it is recommended to use both in the initial and in the later stages of the disease. In conditions characterized by increased vascular permeability (including scarlet fever, flu, measles, allergic reactions) it is used in combination with ascorbic acid to enhance its effect.

It is nontoxic and has a wide range of therapeutic action.

Indications

Varicose veins, chronic venous insufficiency with manifestations such as static heaviness in the legs, shin ulcers,
Periprosthetic skin lesions, superficial thrombophlebitis, periphlebitis, phlebothrombosis, leg ulcers, dermatitis,
hemorrhoids, postthrombotic syndrome,
diabetic microangiopathy, retinopathy, hemorrhagic diathesis (increased permeability of capillaries), including measles and scarlet fever.In measles, scarlet fever, flu,
vascular side effects of radiation therapy, post-traumatic edema, hematoma,
prevention of complications after operations on the veins.

Active ingredient

How to take, the dosage

I/m or IV slowly, 500 mg every other day (at least 5 injections), then switch to oral administration – 600-900 mg with meals, for 2-4 weeks or more, maintenance therapy – 300 mg per day.

Externally: the gel is applied in the morning and in the evening to the skin of the painful area from distal to proximal part and is gently massaged until complete absorption. The gel may be applied under an occlusive dressing.

Interaction

It enhances the effect of ascorbic acid on the structure and permeability of the vascular wall.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity, peptic ulcer and duodenal ulcer, chronic gastritis (acute phase), pregnancy (I trimester), lactation.

With caution. Renal failure (prolonged use).

Side effects

Allergic reactions, erosive and ulcerative lesions of the gastrointestinal tract, headache.
