Tribestan is a phytopreparation with general restorative effect and stimulating effect on sexual function.

In men, Tribestan restores and improves libido and increases the duration of erection. It shows a stimulating effect on spermatogenesis by increasing the number of spermatozoa and their motility.

In women, Tribestan improves libido and favorably influences psychoemotional and vasomotor manifestations of natural and post-castration climacteric syndrome, reduces subjective complaints such as insomnia, tension, nervous excitability or apathy.

Tribestan has a hypolipidemic effect that in patients with dyslipoproteinemia significantly lowers total cholesterol and LDL levels without changing serum triglyceride and HDL levels.

Indications

In complex therapy of the following conditions and diseases:

erectile dysfunction, incl. accompanied by decreased libido;
infertility in men caused by idiopathic oligoasthenoteratozoospermia (decreased quantity and quality of sperm in emitted semen), surgical intervention for varicocele (varicose veins of the spermatic cord of the testicle);
immunological infertility;
dyslipidemia (to reduce total cholesterol levels).

Pharmacological effect

Tribestan is a herbal medicine with a general strengthening effect and a stimulating effect on sexual function.

In women, Tribestan improves libido and has a beneficial effect on the psychoemotional and vasomotor manifestations of natural and post-castration menopausal syndrome, reduces subjective complaints such as insomnia, tension, nervous excitability or apathy.

Tribestan has a hypolipidemic effect, which in patients with dyslipoproteinemia significantly reduces the level of total cholesterol and LDL without changing the level of triglycerides and HDL in the serum.

Special instructions

Before you start taking the drug, you should consult your doctor.

If there is no effect while taking the drug for 1 month, you should consult a doctor.

To avoid the possible irritant effect of Tribestan on the gastric mucosa, it is recommended to take the drug after meals.

The drug shell contains soy lecithin. Patients with allergies to peanut protein or soy should not use this drug due to an increased risk of severe allergic reactions (including anaphylactic shock).

Impact on the ability to drive vehicles and operate machinery. Tribestan does not affect the ability to perform potentially hazardous activities that require increased concentration of attention and speed of psychomotor reactions (driving vehicles, working with moving mechanisms).

Composition

1 film-coated tablet contains:

active ingredient:

dry extract of Tribulus terrestris – 250 mg (containing furostanol saponins of at least 112.5 mg);

excipients:

MCC,

colloidal silicon dioxide,

povidone,

crospovidone,

magnesium stearate,

opadray

Pregnancy

It is not recommended to use Tribestan during pregnancy and breastfeeding due to the lack of clinical data confirming the safety of the drug during these periods.

Contraindications

hypersensitivity to all components of the drug;
prostatic hyperplasia;
severe cardiovascular disease (stroke, myocardial infarction within the last year) or severe, unstable and uncontrolled cardiovascular disease (unstable angina, chronic heart failure with symptoms at rest, sick sinus syndrome or conduction disorders such as sinoatrial block, AV block II or III degree, bradycardia
allergy to peanut protein or soy;
pregnancy;
breastfeeding period;
age up to 18 years.

Side Effects

Allergic reactions are possible. Irritating effect on the gastric mucosa (nausea).

In case of side effects, incl. not described in the instructions, you should consult a doctor.

Interaction

Tribestan may enhance the effect of diuretics and potentiate the hypotensive effect of antihypertensive drugs.

Overdose

There are no reports of cases of overdose of Tribestan.

Symptoms: possible appearance of dyspeptic disorders (nausea, vomiting).

Treatment: symptomatic.
